It's an interesting apparent dichotomy, but not an actual one I think. The witch tree does have some design issues that need to be cleared up. Things like Lord of the Dead being the node that connects the two starting areas and Deep Thoughts being gated behind a power charge.

We'll just have to see what shakes out when the tree is finalized (which it isn't yet I'm sure for all you people that keep asking to see it).

See above, the tree isn't done yet. GGG has said that they continue to iterate the tree and test things up until virtually the last moment.

Though i did not win anything with my hardcore char, I really liked the idea of mixing different rules for a race period. Are there any plans for modified servers/leagues in which the player could choose which rules to play (or maybe the rules are randomized for a period of X month!?).
I liked the way how it influenced the build. While leveling: A build that worked well the previous week could turn instabil the next week due to harder/different rules.

I just want to know, when my son got on my computer and decided to messa round in the hardcre league, did he get me elimiinated from the drawings?
