I'm really excited to see the old health/mana globes return. It's not a women vs. men thing, it's the fact that the originals look higher quality and I think the larger size is nice.
Thanks for making that change! The rest of the UI looks fine, especially now that the Shop button looks a little dimmer. EDIT: To the guy calling people gross pigs... LOL, you reeeeeally need to step outside and get some fresh air. You can't possibly tell me that the new graphics looked anywhere near as good the originals. Really, just... calm down dude, lol. I guarntee that the huge dude is a player you can purchase to follow you around and you can equip them with gear like diablo two. we have seen him in two screen shots already. and the new NPC they showed in the second screen shot was the guy you purchase them from.

Much better UI.
Whatever you guys decide to do in the future about the chained ladies, it will have to be artistically exceptional to be a worthy replacement. |

Hey, I was wondering if there will be microtransaction UI skins in the future.

Thanks god we have the girls back in place! The flaskplacements is still a step backwards.

The only thing I agree about with the whole shackled women debacle is that the way they are designed to flow with the UI was better than the statues that were put into the first UI changes shown. That, however, can be fixed and something new added to replace the women and still have the flow, which is more important to me than whether or not it's a half-naked woman (whatever) chained to a health/mana globe. Whatever GGG ends up going with in that regard I will probably be fine with, but as it stands right now...the shackled women work better just on flow and as for 'eye-candy'...pfffffttttt...never once saw them as 'eye-candy'.
I do like the flask slots better than the current dull boxes we have, and even right now some of the flasks don't even sit properly in those simple boxes and have empty space below them. I see some people screaming to high heaven about these little 'half moon' spaces below the flasks in the current iteration of the UI change and yet with screenshots posted of the old UI showing off similar space issues, no one is whining about those. I mean...really? So ridiculous IMHO...the slots look better and actually look like they have a solid 'grip' on the flasks rather than just cubby holes that look like any old thing can be thrown in them. As far as the shop and menu buttons...I have to agree that they look a little out of place, especially the shop button. I get what GGG is saying about wanting the shop button to be intuitive, but I honestly think they should just use the icon they have on the website for the MTX currency and someone has already posted a screenshot of it. To me, it looks better than just a shop button and having a hover-over text that simply says something like 'MTX Shop' or even just 'Shop' would serve its purpose. I know GGG is trying to keep new players in mind, and that the MTX shop is a very important source of their income, but that icon instead of the word 'shop' would look better and the hover-over text will give new players just as much info about what it is and its purpose. The menu button...as much as I like the current icons, and as much as I think the menu text doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the UI, I prefer that over the current buttons. They're too small and annoying to get to, even when just in town, and having to constantly remember which one does what isn't something I relish. Now, I have gotten used to all the hot keys to bring up the inventory, map, and all the rest, but to a new player the menu setup in the new UI is much easier to get used to and understand. I don't have to constantly hover over each button to figure out what does what, what the picture correlate to, etc, etc...it's right there and with the hot key assignments for easy viewing and understanding. So yeah...my two cents on the current UI iteration. |

Different location, same npc and not hostile? Does that mean we are getting companions!?
