No point in playing the game if it's not HC. The thing that makes PoE stand out for me is the challenge that comes with the game. If it's just an SC league it turns into whoever can play for the longest regardless of skill or any theory crafting; it takes the fun right out of the game. Most people would not argue a HC version makes sense , but the way the HC players have voiced their desire makes me hope GGG doesnt carve in. Why do you need this particular 1 month league to be HC as well? if it was HC and people wanted it to be SC you would complain about them wanting it so. Just deal with it, its SC this time around. I think its great because HC players will play the HC league as those are the more empty ones anyways and this league will scatter the SC players between the perma and the 1 month leagues. Anyway i think this marks a turning point in GGG's philosophy. They obviously don't care very much about HC anymore. It's just a shame because they prided themselves in making a hardcore game for hardcore gamers back in beta. I'm afraid we'll never see a good HC league ever again.
