It replaces another aura. Eliminating the drawback of bloodrage is exactly how you run bloodrage already.

People in this topic are overrating such an aura. Assuming it gives no max res and less res than typical auras it won't be that special. It will only be used in those situations where you really need chaos res like bloodrage.

You just don't get it... probably never will. The reason you like this game is to try to overcome challenges. You don't want them to simply remove them.

That's like saying using any aura removes challenge. Does purity of fire remove challenge by enabling a righteous fire build?

It's just an alternative to use for your character. More options is good.

It wouldn't allow perfect resistance.

It would be similar to other resist auras and most likely situational.

Every 5% quality is just radius bonus or whatever.

Max is like 30% or close.

Wow, might break the game...even though that's only one decent roll resist item, not like a set.

Because of sick of mechanics in the game getting butchered. Chaos dmg. was NEVER meant to be resisted. It was an idiotic change, and I'm not going to back a suggestion that further turns chaos dmg into "another element".

Too late. For all practical purposes in game it is already just "another element." Why? Because I can get chaos resist on gear pretty easily, a little life regen and two pieces of gear w/chaos are more than enough to eliminate the bloodrage drawback.

Since chaos resist is already in the game then a chaos aura becomes just another option. Eiter remove chaos resist all together or add an aura gem.

If they really want it, let them have it. Chaos Res on gear maxes at +30, while elemental resists can get to +45. Let's also take into account that it's a much. much rarer mod on gear than elemental resists.

Elemental purities get to 39 at level 20. Accounting for the lower values and higher rarity, a balanced chaos aura should only give about 18% chaos resistance at level 20. Let them have such an aura. It's not worth the mana reservation anyway.
