i'm not among them but with 15k players over level 43, chances were slim anyway.
on a related note: the real winner probably is ggg, so many successfully participating on a hardcore race is amazing. grats to them as well.

my personal conclusion playing this race on a standard account my nephews and nieces use to play on occasional visits: you can't really play with only default stash tabs.

my heart bled when i had to trash so many promising pieces of gear because there was no buyer for them and no storage to keep them. i once saw playing with default tabs as a advantage because you miss out the time for sorting and arranging but it takes much more time to wait for buyers for your stuff and get the deals done.

and you aren't really richer by trading early and midgame items if you're not ripping off newbies, in the time you spend making the deal you probably have found more orbs playing the game.

if i remember right the rules were that you're eligible for all the price categories.#

but that 2 people of 15k win in both categories for stash tabs ... devs having taken the game's rng to roll the winners would explain alot of my ingame experience.
