ES too OP? world first 30k ES!

The DPS is subpar and Atziri nearly blows him to pieces despite the high energy shield. The guy is also using mostly BiS stuff.

Just because you can raise one stat through the roof doesn't necessarily mean anything is broken.

..

41k dps is insane for the amount of survivability he has. I think the "correct" statement is: he actually facetanked atziri.

The whole thing about gear is pointless. Go buy the most expensive life gear and you will spend at least the same amount. You wont have such options, not even close. This is the definition of balance.

And go buy the mid tier of life gear and the mid tier of ES gear and see which one has more options. Hint: It's the one with 5k Life with 5k evasion and 2k armor rather than the 5k ES with roughly similar passive point investment in defense. How OP would 31k ES be if you had no way to get it back shy of not being hit for 5.5-9 seconds or using a Vaal Discipline?
Wow getting almost every ES node on the tree with BiS Standard league ES gear, I wish I could be as clever as you. XD

Lolled. Clearly op, ES requires a nerf Noaw!
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
Again there is no point in justifying one thing with another. When life is a bit superior to ES in midlevel of gear, this is a different story and doesn't mean ES should be way superior (refering to low life again here) to life in endgame.

I don't understand your logic.

Just think about 2 things:
- why was aura mana reserved increased recently? So that some chars/builds go and run 9 auras again and become terminators?
- what is the point of having charackters that are invincible and almost one shot even the highest map bosses in 6 player parties no matter which gear they use.

This is enabled by 1. es and 2. low life. Talking about op/up is a bit weak here. It is utterly broken. No matter which gear you have, it should not be like this. Especially when comparing life vs ES/low life, this comes true.
Is this build viable for the 2 week race?

Spoiler
just trolling here, since i find this thread + its tittle laughable at best :)

ES has always synergized a bit too well with a lot of things unfortunately (low life stuff especially). Dunno how they would go about fixing it.

There is nothing broken, especially when you compare life vs ES/low life. Life can be done by everybody (and most do it), but ES/low life is something you have to work towards. Its just not that simple (and cheap) like life stacking and thus its correct (imho) that a well geared ES/low life build is a more powerful build than a "normal" life build. I understand ES/low life as an upgrade to yr normal life build which you can switch into at a certain level (gear requirement).
CI is not OP, and probably never will be again.

Constant stuns, or sacrifice your amulet slot
Maximum status effects, or sacrifice a ring/helmet slot
Cannot leech without a keystone (biggest drawback in current meta)
No potions

Seriously. Try playing a CI character built from scratch in difficult content, you come out inferior to life 9/10 times.

I never understood why Ghost Reaver exists in the first place...I mean, it should be incorporated into CI keystone imo. Its not like they are that far apart to begin with, so 99.9% of CI characters will spend the 5-6 points to spec into it. Yet, when you are trying to mix-max your character end game (late 80s), it just seems like a waste.

Either incorporate it with CI, or buff leech to pre-leech-nerf status and move it across the tree.

Just my .02

Also, I have much experience with high life/armor chars and high ES chars. VictorDoom is right; with insanely good gear comes insanely good characters. Kinda common sense. From my perspective, ES does get OP, but only and a gear level that 99.99999% of players will never reach. The vaal pact nerf was a big blow to CI for sure.
