Vaal auras? Awesome!
I am running Eldritch Battery supporter build, so Vaal discipline is probably not a case for me. What is the second one?

Anyway did you consider to set Vaal skills on cooldown instead of souls gathering? It seems to me like much more better solution. What is the problem here?

Thanks for another awesome improvement!

kind of agree on this !

I'm liking the look of this aura. I doubt the duration increases with level (would be awesome), but with a 20/20 inc duration gem as some one mentioned would be just over 10 seconds. I am really interested what the amount of ES this provides at higher levels. Normal Discipline (318 es at level 20) gives me about 2k ES if I decide to use it (rarely). This will be a huge boost for about 10 seconds. Also, providing regeneration w/o delay is amazing. It might help out in situations where you struggle to get away from the fight (flicker strike mobs).

I would guess the other aura is Vaal Vitality, Determination, or maybe an offensive aura like Hatred?

Edit: I hope the 24 souls it shows is the amount in Merc. Would actually make this very useful and wouldn't be afraid to use it pretty often.

I am sensing a new mod coming for Reduced Mana gem.

Mana Multiplier: XX%
XX Less Required Souls for Vaal Gems

As long as we don't maintain souls through areas, Vaal Skills will remain useless

No. Just no. If souls remain through areas, you could just stack them in ledge norm then spam all of them in, for example, dominus, then go back to ledge to charge them again and repeat... It would be too easy...

So you're saying if you're forced to go to ledge to power all of your Vaal Skills up, to then go to Dominus to kill him, which btw won't happens since having multiple Vaal Skills will split souls gained, reducing the time you'll get it back.

Even if someone would do this, he would waste more time charging them up, than any other typical farmer build could kill Dominus 2-3 times.

See the whole picture here? You will ALWAYS maximum use 1 bloody Vaal Skills, because if you use more than 1 you won't get to use them in most scenarios.

"Just go to Dominus" - Like any other hold down button build?

If people really wants more skills, they should give us passive NODES that grants buffs when not affected by Auras, therenext more Skills that works WELL with just being a 4L.
There, you now have 1 more 4L and a Skill to use in it.

Idk Vaal skills just seem bad in general, wasting links for something you get to use once in awhile. That said I enjoyed using vaal cyclone, before I got a kaoms. I just can't see this actually being a good use of slots.

This, Vaal gems as they were implemented should NOT have been put in game. Unreliable skills just are not worth using slots/links for, if they are not usable WHEN i need them, whats the point?

does vaal discipline stack with regular discipline? or do we have to turn off our regular discipline to use it?

Vaal auras stack with their non-Vaal counterparts.

Cool!

For me the problem is that I can't use skill whenever I want. I don't need to use vaal skill in every instance. I want to spare it for time of need (include begin of new instance).
As for microtransactions, I'm still waiting for dogs. And yes, multiple breeds of dogs.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

I still say its better to have cd's on most of the vaal skills than soul requirements.

I'm completly against coold downs in an ARPG. While I don't like Ultimates at all, Souls are the better solution since they keep you in your pace killing stuff. Set Cooldowns encourage slowing down to use the ultimates on more mobs overall which is contrary to the fun, fast pasted combat.

yes honestly that is the worst argument ever for why souls work the way they do, if someone feels compelled to waste upwards of like 30 minutes refilling souls and going back to fight Dom I say let them

Its no different from recharging flasks in town over and over

lamest excuse for not having cooldowns ever because they dont want to be like D3

much lame
