[Official] WINE info thread
I'm running dual 1080 monitors and I usually play at 900x1600. Turns out that the option wasn't available via Lutris, but availale in Proton.
- Switching from 1080 fullscreen windowed mode to 1080p windowed mode will freeze my whole computer. - You can manually set a custom window size, but only to a certain extent until it freezes. - I tried forcing the resolution in the production_Config.ini file to 900x1600 and it still froze. Tried it again with 900 x 1500 and got the same result. - Switching resolutions and enabling windowed mode on Lutris configuration had 0 effect. |

Until freeze bug is fixed i am stuck at gpu passthrough to my windows 10 vm from arch host.
It seems that there is always a lot of work to be done after each patch, that you lose the half league. So... gpu passthrough virtualization is my way. If you have a spare gpu try it yourself. Last edited by mdsaltos#5045 on Nov 18, 2018, 9:08:40 AM

1440p also hangs the game for me, to the point of even crashing my GPU driver (amdgpu) if I don't kill the game fast enough. 1080p on the other hand works fine in a window, which is good enough for now.
I'm curious though, does anyone know when this problem appeared? A specific DXVK version or a game patch? I played Incursion with DXVK in 1440p with the same setup just fine (though obviously with older DXVK/wine versions) and recently came back again. |

@gigamo
https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/252#issuecomment-421364190 Post is from mid september (Delve already running) but I think it's the same problem we're talking about now, at least I've the same crashes + freezes since the Delve league started; before Delve DXVK worked for me even at 1440p. So i don't know if doitsujin's answer is up to date and the problem is on PoE's side (hopefully fixed with 3.5) or if we're talking about a new one caused by DXVK. At the moment I'm running it in DX11 without DXVK and it works ok for me, no hard fps drops running at 60-80fps and even if its crowded the fps are about 30-40. But I would prefer to run it with DXVK, we will see what 3.5 brings for us... |

" Yeah, that appears to be the same issue. Thanks for the info; hopefully 3.5 solves this indeed! |

Hi all, faced with such a problem. I am a long time Windows user but decided to upgrade to Mint 19 . If earlier POE was normal, now there is a problem with running in dx11. Constantly breaks down and offers to run dx9 but everything is quite bad. I looked at a lot of sources, but I did not find a solution for my laptop, maybe it's all about its performance. Pentium 2127u Intel Hd 3000 but for some reason in the game shows 4000 RAM 12gb. Is there any way to find a solution, or is my laptop dead? If that, I speak English badly:)

" I think the easiest way to run POE in dx11 is using lutris, theres an install script for poe on there website. on lutris i had to get the 64bit exe for poe in the install directory and under the game config options change exe to the 64bit version. use the latest tkg wine runtime, under manage runners in lutris. Anyone has POE-TradeMacro running with WINE?

" From what I have seen, most people seem to use Xenontrade, but I haven't tested it myself. Last edited by efirps#7063 on Nov 29, 2018, 6:48:41 PM
