Can someone test it ?

Oh my, please let this be true. I spent good 5 hours yesterday trying to get DXVK PoE running on my Antergos with RX 480 GFX, and while it started, grinding gears stopped turning after some tens of seconds and then whole computer went into hard lock up. DXVK was working as I was able to see FPS counter (I had DXVK_HUD=fps in Lutris env variables).

I managed to get Warframe running beautifully with DXVK 2 weeks ago which was major improvement, and I really hope to get this piece close to my heart too, but yesterday was just... utterly frustrating.

I tried to get wine-ge compiled with some c-header throwing generic error (I reinstalled base-devel to be on the safe side as suggestedy by my distro wiki for makepkg action) but no improvement. Hard lock-up really makes it difficult to understand what's going on as apparently no OS log I am aware of is able to catch up the issue.

I'll give this a try today, everybody keep fingers crossed, I might heavily need it :).

EDIT: Now I am starting to think that this is my issue:

"
AMD RADV (#252)
GPU hangs can be experienced in some games (see Issue #252). Most of these issues have been resolved in Mesa 18.1.3 and LLVM 7.0-svn.

as found on dxvk git page https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/wiki/Driver-support.

So using Lutris/DXVK the game now gets to the initial loadscreen, but at its end the gears just freeze – I can however hear what I think is the background noise of the login screen (no music though). Mouse with PoE’s custom cursor still moves perfectly well and nothing outside of PoE is impacted. My best guess is that I actually need the DXVK recommended driver version (Nvidia, I have 396.45 but DXVK recommends at least 396.54.) which sadly is not feasible for me to install on my own.

Game was starting to stutter again with my previous config (couple posts above) switching to 0.71 helped a lot.
Occasional stuttering is still occurring, but it's now way more fluid.

Can't seem to completely fix it. :-|

Just to be clear.

That commit is not part of dxvk 0.71, it's newer than that... maybe it will be released with the next version.

That's the reason I asked if someone could test it, it needs to be compiled and I don't have all the libs, neither time, to do it atm.

I've been using it since it got implemented. Works perfectly fine for me, I have none of the stutter that the hack was used to fix.

The small version is:
get wine-mirror, apply all wine-staging patches (those two are repositories on github)
Grab a generic pathofexile.patch from ge-wine repository (or any of your preference), apply it (patch -p1 < pathofexile.patch) and you're set.

Can you explain a bit on this one? I don't understand why we are combining wine-mirror (not sure yet what wine this actually is) with wine-staging.

Arch I assume? Where did you get wine-staging-pba-git? I don't see it any longer in AUR.

Download a clone of the repository and use the wine-tkg-git folder and PKGBUILD. You can get it all in a .zip file from the green bottom on the right. Edit the customization.cfg to enable and disable certain patchsets before you makepkg.

Ah, ok, I did this yesterday after getting some help directly from Tk-Glitch on reddit, but it didn't help, I still get hard lock-up after a while of grinding gears animation stops past starting the game.

Dunno if you know about it yet but since 3.4.0 was released we've needed to install libpng12 (package of the same name in Arch) to get past the black background bug.
