Yes questioning a design choice made by the developers, is the same as giving mechanics based information, i understand.

If this was a game where you choose a type at the beginning, and it's rigid and you're stuck with it (Think: Gauntlet where you choose either warrior mage or archer - it gets set of stats and you use it all game) I would agree with you 100%. In that environment, it's horribly unfair to have an archetype that can't beat something while others can, with no way of being able to change or alter it.

But that's not POE. In this game, you get up to 6 gems slots, which can be swapped at anytime for no penalty. And any single target skill can be made AOE with just 1 gem slot. So your archetype not being able to kill Atziri isn't a flaw with game design, because the game gives you the tools to handle the encounter, you are just arbitrarily choosing not to take advantage of them. That's on you - not GGG.

Dude. There is no such thing as "specializing" in a single target skill. Every skill can be made into an AoE skill. That's what they gave you so many item slots for. It's not a game mechanic issue that you are choosing not to...never mind, Sidra beat me to it.

And yes i am aware of the points that asidra is making, i even clearly stated in my other thread 2 tactics of how to beat the atziri healing phase with 0 passive tree investment.

Purely abusing 0% investment AOE nuke skills.

Now here is the kicker, if you can beat that phase with 0% passive tree investment as is, why is it even there.

There is no "dedication" no "designed build" there is absolutely nothing to beat that phase.

Just 4 gems and you are done. So why should such a stupid mechanic exist in that phase. Because that's what it is, stupid, since it requires nothing to beat it. (well yeah you gotta collect 4 gems, challenge much?)
