More Girly Clothes

For all you people who can't read or simply fail to grasp the basic simplicity of what I'm suggesting, let me bold it for you.

I AM NOT SUGGESTING SEXUALLY THEMED ARMOUR OR BIKINI MAIL! I'M NOT LOOKING FOR CLEAVAGE OR TRYING TO GET THE DEVS TO MAKE CLOTHES THAT MAKE THEIR BUTTS HANG OUT! PLEASE STOP POSTING REMARKS THAT SHOW YOU, CLEARLY, HAVE NO GRASP OF THE CURRENT TOPIC AND ARE UNABALE TO READ OR FOLLOW ALONG. IF YOU WANT TO TWIST THIS TOPIC INTO SOME BS POLITICALLY CORRECT FEMINIST FLAME THREAD THAT ATTEMPTS TO VILIFY EVERYTHING I'M SAYING, THEN PLEASE GO MAKE YOUR OWN THREAD TO DO IT IN AND STAY OUT OF MINE.

Also, as pointed out by feyith above, I did list my favorite armour in the original post as the Assassin's Garb. How exactly can that armour be mistaken for bikini mail? I listed that as an example of what I think looks good. How you ever derived sexaulized bikini armours from that is beyond me. Good luck with the reading comprehension thing.

As stated several times, this is NOT what I'm suggesting. Although I am not specifically opposed to it either, that is not what this topic is about.

Actually what LadyAlekto said is exactly the 1st thing your post suggests (when I read it yesterday at least). If that is actully not what you meant then it is fine, but in this genre that's what it sounds like...

No, it suggests nothing of the kind, it's just the first place your mind runs to, don't blame me for that.

I'm with the opposition on this - I really enjoy the fact that PoE doesn't overtly sexualize the female characters. One of the devs mentioned in some place that keeping things realistic and not girly/revealing/whatever leads to more interesting character design, and I couldn't agree more...

For the billionth time, not suggesting revealing clothes or armour.
There seems to be an inherent comprehension problem flaring up.

But i am more then willing to compromise, everyone wanting "girly" armor should pay the price, like a 100% chance to be critted, because the boob plate so nice deflects a hit TOWARDS THE TORSO.....

Well, the failure of many posters to grasp the topic is rather alarming. I would suggest perhaps a remedial English class. Maybe that would help.

Another thing, for those of you wrongly claiming that PoE does not sexualize this game, you've obviously never looked at the life and mana balls or seen the picture of Atziri. It's easy to jump on the band wagon isn't it? Post without thinking...let's try this again folks. Perhaps we'll even get a few people in here that will actually read the thread before posting.

Now, back to the topic.

I really like the Full Scale Armour, the Full Ringmail, the Saint's Hauberk and the Destroyer Regalia. If these were smaller and better fitted I would definitely wear them on my female characters but as of now, they look waaaay too big and very clunky. They fit great on the marauder but look like they're gonna fall off the scion. I think making them a little smaller and pulled inward would be good. The bulk is not very aesthetically pleasing, especially on the Full Plate. And for those you who think aesthetics have nothing to do with this game, I would suggest you try to convince the dev team of that and get them to stop selling MTXs. Aesthetics and a little RP go a long way for the enjoyment factor in this game.

I aint doing feminist flaming, thanks to think so

And the thing is, i do some larping, a buddy has made armors for our group, a logical female armor, is bulky.

There is a reason i posted the reddit link, i dont mind proper armor. even armor that accentuaizes a slender form. But the problem is, almost everyone who says girly armor, wants boobplates and other "formed like a female body armor designs". Those people want sexualised armor and cry "evil feminist" whenever they can.

This ticks some people, you could simply state it as something else then girly.

Girly does not equal a "more slender tight fitted armor", girly in such designs equals "boobplates".

And my last post that had some aggresion to it, was to that feminazi comment...

May i belive you asked for something along the lines of this?

Another nice example of a kind of a feminine armor that keeps badass without going "girly"

Think everyone needs a chill pill...

But I think the problems started with 1 word... that was misinterpreted due to the subject and genre

Anyways... more armor/3D art is always +1

@LadyAlekto
You want to play the word redefine game and tell me what I meant by what I said. You're not going to change my mind and make me think like you so stop trying. You twisted what i said and just can't admit you're wrong in the assumptions you made. And yes, those pictures you posted are good examples of good looking female armours.

Yes because i am totally bigeted because i tire of having this defined as female armor

And if you do read my last post, i have not said you bad, i have specifically asked if your intention was like in the examples given?

I have even admitted i got ticked off by the word "girly" and stated exact and specific reasons why, according to basic rhetoric usually used in debates, that equals an admittance of misunderstanding and fault.

If i would had been trying to twist your words, i would choose a vastly different approach.

All our armours fit all our characters. We don't have "male-only" or "female-only" armours or microtransactions, and I really don't think this will change.

If you want tighter-fitting, or less bulky armours, that's not unreasonable (especially for Dex-aligned builds), but bear in mind these armours need to fit all the character classes.

@Rhys:

Any chance of at least some more minimalistic skins like the Briskwrap?

Even the Silk Robe is a little overly bukly, even on male characters.

In that case, I think a few less-bulky armours should definitely be on the docket :D, at least they'd get my vote. The Destroyer Ragalia is very close to being slender but just slightly over-bulked to accommodate the slimmer characters. I think the Assassin's Garb is the closest thing I can think of for an example of a suit that works well. I stock a bunch of them for skins. I'd love to see more armours and robes well-fitted like that for the smaller characters whenever you folks get around to it. Cheers.
