A suggestion for a skill tree change to boost the Duelist

So few life nodes, surely your life must be horribly low? Makes me wonder whether life nodes are the way to go.

I don't feel the Duelist has problems with resisting elemental damage, he's just lacking in some notable reasons to be used. The Maruder gets free life leech and the Ranger gets tons of block. What does the Duelist get? Attack speed.

Attack speed is good 'n all but it's just not a compelling defensive trait.

Yea the low life is mostly the reason I die so much to physical damage, though the final spec has a ton more. Though I do have 973 health at this time and a granite flask
goes a long way to surviving against physical damage dealers. Though I also have lots of life gain on hit as well as life leech so, my health can look like a ping pong ball at times. Most of the time I only die if I get stunlocked or what I'm fighting just hits pretty ridiculously hard(like the boss mob at the battlefield with his double strike can pose quite the threat if I don't have my granite flask ready, 8 seconds of pretty much invulnerability).

And yea I'm all about spreading the knowledge. You may have more life than me but you sure as all hell take quite a lot more damage than I do ;)
Keep the life nodes!!!!! I get those on every single duelist build I have I ever made except a blood magic bow build that headed to marauder side for the life regen.


Though leather and steel could use a +10 to elemental resists like the nodes for the other hybrid defense nodes.



Seems a little unfair templar and shadows get that on their nodes but duelist doesn't

Duelist doesn't need more elemental resist...they have access to 27% all resist and an additional 30% on cold and fire. If they need access to ANY resist it's chaos and MAAAAAAAAAybe lightning, but one topaz ring matches the resistances.

And yes, you want to shoot for around 150% life nodes...I don't think you should have pushed so hard for them so early, but yes you want around that much.

Shadows get so little pure resist or HP nodes though, so citing unfair on that note seems a little off.

Templar on the other hand like marauder is just superior for defensive stats, lots of resists, and if you are going Elemental damage you get damage and resist in the same nodes.




Oh and regarding the duelist needing more resists I disagree, as there are plenty of resist nodes near (as shown by ghobes build).

I think the bigger issue you are having is that you are a blood magic duelist with very little hp or regen. My assumption is you spam skills to kill, but get to half hp or so, and then die to elemental damages and status effects. Imo you need much more hp and regen to be in blood magic. You even passed up on a couple of regen nodes.
