Hey Arly, I thought I would shout out a big thanks for writing this Lighting Arrow build summary. I am level 87 and it works wonderfully with the exception of elemental reflect maps which certainly makes sense. Anyway, I can pretty much run any map up to level 12+ and the play style is very smooth and enjoyable. The feel of Lightning Arrow is much better than my split shot build I used previously - there is just a great feel with the chaining lightning damage.
For those who are trying this I would mention that the build really comes into it's own late - once you gear up. So hang in there. I'm even using the thunderfist "budget" build and it rocks. Can this be done with a Scion? How optimized would it be?

" Take a good at my gear progression guide. Your gear looks good to me and you itemized your cold damage and resists well but you should 4 socket and link your helm. Your passive tree: You took 5 nodes to reach the jewel near vaal pact but there is a 3 node jewel near acrobatics. " Basically path of life nodes route with +28% all resists, you will lose a lot of potential damage but have much higher life pool potential. Overall, sub optimal unless youre HC. " 1) Can't really imagine playing VP on hc as a bow character due to how important life regen is but I am no expert in this domain. 2) Arrow dancing will help vs reflect before you obtain voltaxic and playing carefully means you should not be in melee range very often but its up to you to take it. 3) No reason to take essence sap when the single life and mana leech attack node near duelist is enough to sustain mana. You also do not take vitality void which in conjunction with the prior nodes is equal to a life leech gem. Also, you've ignored a lot of jewel nodes. For a 3 point investment it's really hard to beat since you can get 7% life in addition to a lot of offensive stats. Alright then,
I guess I will grab the leech nodes, I was just curious about it because you do not run Vaal pact. Is the life leech noticeable or even mandatory? Is it also worth to go into Primal Spirit and ballistic mastery, those 4 points could maybe be spent on profane chemistry instead regarding my pathing route to life wheel. If the mana leech from 0.4% is enough without Primal Spirit, I feel like its a waste to spent 4 points there... Regards Virisken |
