Absolutely, I think this could be a fun debate, if people could be adult about it. Because PoE has no true "best" ranking, this forum should be opinion based. We are the ones making the criteria for who is "best", so make your point, and support it, don't just yell at each other, and bash others.

I would say one of the "best" is ZiggyD, not for skill, but for transparency and the attempt to explain and elaborate his choices on play style and character progression. He's one of the best because he exemplifies some of the community spirit that this game has potential for but is lacking in this thread.

agreed. the man has balls of steel trying to use crazy builds in late-game (Helicopter!), and RIPing a level 60ish Onslaught character just to "demonstrate inter-league trade".

but honestly, I think the best players are people you never see play.

no one said "top 5" have to be streamers-only.
no one said they have to be "top-ladder", because "top-ladder" typically equals no-life + trade + group, and none of the above fits the abstract definition of "good" in my opinion.
especially if you add cheating, exploiting, multi-boxing, and using 3rd-party tools and macros to gain an advantage.

Etup, HvR, Invalesco, flubby, Kripp.

Etup because he plays hard and is very efficient.

HvR because he has two level 100 characters...

Invalesco because he comes up with really cool unique builds, pretty sure it was him who created the low life righteous fire spell builds.

Flubby, because his DPS builds break the game and get shit nerfed.

Kripp, mainly because he brought a lot of players to the game, hes also pretty good with builds.
