Please release the new Passive Tree on the 3rd. We need time to make builds. Otherwise the alpha testers would have a huge advantage in the competition.

I love the teaser video....

all 7 classes step up, equip what appears to be phenomenally powerful
gear, and then proceed to fight like tigers... only to be utterly destroyed
by monster packs...

WOOHOO... ?

Seems like I could recreate the essential experience by opening Microsoft Excel,
scrolling down ten thousand pages with the down cursor key, and then typing
"The Most Splendid Trousers of Them All!" -Yahtzee
Seems like all Vaal skills are corrupted and chris already said you cant use GCP's on corrupted skills. So quality vaal skills will be worth alot if thats how it works.

I did not find any hint about removing the annoying death-penalty that is the only reason why I can't enjoy hard mobs and maps like I wanted

Err, what? You can't enjoy the game because hen you do poorly there's a consequence?

95%+ of all games have consequences upon dying, this is actually one of the tamer games in that sense due to you not losing any exp when dying in normal.

It's trial and error to a large degree, you don't need the exp penalty upon death to be removed to do hard fights or maps, there's lots of solo players that can do those maps just fine in hardcore leagues, they didn't start out amazing at the game, they improved over time, just like you could if you weren't afraid to try, but alas, trying is something most people don't want to do, that sounds too much life effort, they'd rather point the finger at those that succeed and put various derogatory labels on them as a means of defense.

ie. Sure, he killed Atziri, but we all know he's a no-lifer, or, sure his gear is better than mine, but I didn't RMT mine, etc.

To be more precise: death through your own faults is OK and part of such an game, no problem with that, but death through desync is not OK. IMHO as long as GGG can't fix/improve their network issues I see it as problem to punish players (soft and hardcore) in any way for dying through broken code.

GGG seems to spent alot of work and affort into this addon, it looks promising and well made. However, as harder the gamplay gets (this addon will make it harder obviously) as more sensitive is the gameplay affected by desync issues etc. This is the main problem I have with PoE, GGG is pushing their game to the limits and above (it can't handle heavy effects on screen, it can't handle desync, pathing issues, multiplayer issues performance-wise etc...)

So I really hope for more work onto the game engine itslef, netcode, pathing, all the stuff under the hood that is also important.

Especially the Duelist with Soul Taker and Aegis Aurora. What sort of nub dies with Aegis Aurora?

Im concerned about the corrupted rain of arrow... is there a cooldown? wouldnt it be OP against a melee character in pvp? cause you can pin them down and they cant move close enough to attack...
Someday, someone will best me. But it won't be today, and it won't be you.

Wow, adding another random part to crafting AND making it a final decision, if crafting was already ridiculous, crafting good Vaal items is going to be plain impossible.

The rest of the changes are interesting, but making the game even more of a gamble is a big turn off for me.

How is crafting a good Vaal item going to be impossible? You craft your item, which ironically is the impossible part (except for the rich), and then when done use a Vaal orb. Vaal orbs do not harm the item in any way. You may not get an improvement or what you want, but the item will not be made worse, which is a vast improvement over crafting with regular currency items that wipe out existing sockets and links.

See above, but THAT remains to be seen.

As I understand it, a Vaal Orb can:
- reroll the mods or add mods
- recolour the sockets, maybe reroll the number and the links
- Change implicit mods or add one
- do nothing
- maybe change a white item into a rare item

People writing the game reviews need to watch what they write... because yes, from watching all the videos that are available now, the vaal orbs can harm an item, for example, reducing a gems max level to 19... that would suck especially if high quality. Also, from the videos where 4 socket boots got a white socket, the sockets are not linked. Did the vaal orb destroy the links or were the sockets not linked prior to the vaal orb being used.

Would be nice to know what bad effects a vaal orb can have.
