If you could swing some extra resist (hard with IIR/IIQ gear) I'd cut sentinel instead of shamanistic fury. If you have gear with more stats on it than I do, drop some of the stat nodes. You MIGHT be able to drop arcane efficiency if you can pick up 4 of the 3% nodes (or run one less aura/more mana regen on gear). Basically, look at what your gear has on it other than IIR/IIQ, and let that compensate for the stuff you're removing from the passive tree. I mostly just removed health. Gear like that is the reason I'm glad to have a legacy kaom's. I can't tell you that running piety will be comfortable, but you should be able to do it. You'll surely have more health than I did starting out (I presume you'll have more than 2800). Just keep your walls up (esp during ice form, they block her arrows), and play it safe and you'll be okay. I doubt this build will ever be able to speed-run piety like the leap slammers though. I think that goes without saying. You wouldn't use any of the crit though, so it probably wouldn't be as strong as a more spendy chest (like one with more ES and resists), but it'd work out well in the start. I primarily avoided ES because the highest ES pieces need so many mods on them (whereas pieces with high life need only one mod and therefore are more able to have room for things like IIR and IIQ without costing a ton). If price is no issue, than ES may even work better - but then, I already have a legacy Kaom's, so... There are a few reasons I'm running added chaos instead of added lightning. 1. It's about 50% more damage pre-shock (it adds around 50% to overall dps for the totem). 2. From the wiki, shock certainly won't proc on large health enemies "If the duration would be less than 300 milliseconds, the shock effect is not applied. " For us, since we're dealing about 100-150 lightning damage per hit, unless we have a ton of shock duration nodes, anything with more than 10k-15k health will never be shocked. Event if you could shock the enemy, 30% chance to shock isn't amazing and it'll never be higher since incinerate can't crit. Also, speccing up to static blows means you're going to have dex issues (since I assume you're not also going down to Thick Skin). 3. Perhaps the most compelling reason, against enemies which have large amounts of "resists elemental damage" added chaos is awesome. Almost nothing is resistant to chaos damage, and I'm not sure I've ever seen something which is resistant to both chaos and fire damage. Resistance is a big deal, and chaos goes right around it. I have a question: if i have a shield that gives 34%rarity, can I switch to the shield right before the boss dies for added rarity when my totems kill it? Furthermore, what flasks do you recommend? I am running seething hp dousing / seething hp heat / ample quicksilver adrenaline , and unsure of which mana pots are the best. If you have your incinerate in your chest, it should be easy enough to weapon swap. Mine is in my staff though, so weapon swap's not really an option for me. (If it were, I'd probably 6S a reaper's pursuit). I have 3 seething life potions. One is set up for bleed removal, another for curse removal and another for freeze/chill removal. My quicksilver also has curse removal on it. My last pot is divination distillate.
