Item Affix Gambling Probabilities (Thank you Chriskang from PoE wiki)

Seems pretty much on point. I hit tyrannical twice in little over 1k alterations, first time I got it kind of early on, and had no idea how rare it was. So I yolo augmented + yolo regal'd and kind of fucked my self over :D

About 1k more later

The next part is so expensive that the sword has been like that for 2+ months now. But at least this time I remembered to eternal before the regal.

Also had this little thing for a long long time

CT should be around the art of PKing and not griefing lower levels.

Would you be agree that some very high level item like 79 or 80 should not roll the lowest half rand of all the affixe/suffixe?
Because too much gambling fears more people than attracts new ones...

The data shouldn't be in the client, is not used directly during item generation, and might change in the future.
Still, Chris confirms that it's accurate as of today.

ah, thx. reddit again :-S

mods should remove all forums here in which you don't need to post items and move them to reddit.

and then there will be the day of the lulz when they will regret that decision of relying on external websites to store important background information. wouldn't be the first host that shuts down it's service.

Those affix spawn percentages are actually higher than i expected for many of the top tiers. I certainly didnt think the bottom and top flat phys/elem would all be equal on weapons, same with a few other affix groups with no variance.

That said, the problem with crafting (gambling) in PoE isnt so much the percentages or the difficulty of rolling a few of the top tiers on the most desirable affixes, its the presence of garbage/useless affixes and the relative scarcity (aka poor drop rates) of orbs, especially the higher end ones. That and the extremely uninteresting and unreliable socket gambling, though thats not really the subject here.

Thanks for posting this anyway, its an interesting read and a fine resource.

Hi lukeiy. I don't monitor this forum that often so please ask on my wiki page for queries like this.
I expect SotV to change the mod frequencies quite heavily and I don't want to do the work twice. So, if you don't mind, I'll wait a few more days before extracting the ES chest stats.

Hey man you don't even have to do it if you don't feel like it, good work on what you've already done.

Is it safe to assume that 2h axe percentages are around the same as other 2h ?

I know many of you like me hate gambling. Thankfully Chriskang did datamine the probabilities for gambling some time ago and at this point Chriskang has included the probabilities for following categories:

Rings:
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/User:Chriskang/Sandbox/ItemAffixSpawnRates/Ring

On the data for rings added physical damage is listed at:

Glinting 5 AddedPhysicalDamage1 1.787
Burnished 13 AddedPhysicalDamage2 1.787
Polished 19 AddedPhysicalDamage3 1.787
Honed 28 AddedPhysicalDamage4 1.787
Gleaming 35 AddedPhysicalDamage5 1.787
Annealed 44 AddedPhysicalDamage6 1.787

Anyone who has rolled a lot of rings looking for higher physical damage (for facebreaker characters for example), would know that the higher damage mods do NOT occur at an equal rate with lower dmg mods.

This makes sense in light of Chris' comment:

"It's server-side. The client data files just include some residual values it doesn't use."

from http://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1ujiw6/item_affix_spawn_rates_on_the_wiki_whats_the_best/ceiscee

In other words - the values above that the client has are not the same ones the servers use in generating items.

It was a nice try though, and I'll give you an A+ for effort.
