See, if I was Chris, and I asked one of my guys to explain the unique to me, and they explained it to me so I understand it as Chris understood it in the video(penalizing party members), you know what I would do? I would say "get the fuck out of here, that shit is not getting into my game".

I just can't really express my disappointment enough. Feels like Chris is slipping deeper and deeper into CEO Chris that loves his "business", and not a gamer Chris that loves his "game". Well on the bright side, at least he's not in charge of balancing of the game, as proven by this video, so there must still be some true POE lovers somewhere on GGG team, and not just bunch of fat businessmen who are completely disconnected from the ins and outs of the game.

If you can use desecrate to summon the corpses of the popular spectres from the waypoints, well thats just going to be the most useful thing out there. I hate walking through zones until you find the creature you want, just to dc 30 mins later and have to do it all again

You're right. He's not. So why would he arbitrarily override the people who are? You hire people that you trust to be competent, and when you give them a job you expect them to do it and do it well.

It's not a CEO's job to micromanage every single thing done by everyone else in the company. Chris needs to do Chris's job, not the job of everyone he hired. Besides, if he started doing every other job within the company his 17 hour work days would soon become 90 hour work days, and hopefully you can see why that isn't realistic.

You hire people so that they can do the job you give them. You don't hire people so that they can sit around and watch as you do their job for them.

It's called supervising, and providing directions.

What if that was a unique staff that guaranteed a unique item drop from every rare monster... is he just supposed to say "well ok guys, i hired you, so I trust you made a good decision".

Bottom line is, if this scenario happened let's say in closed beta, we wouldn't know about it, because back then Chris was actually enthusiastic and deeply involved into all things POE, not just $$$$ side of it.

I'm confused about that Staff. It says allies have increased damage, not that they take increased damage. How is that not a party support unique? Chris said it has drawbacks for parties, but what's he talking about? It looks like it is purely for a Support character build! o_0

Uh, the way he explained it was fine, oriented for solo play with minions with an interesting downside that could even work well with minion instability.
