With the new skill desecrate will we be seeing changes to other chaos damage skills that are seriously under powered like viper strike?

The chaos dmg ground effect remembers me onto my Diablo 3 Witch Doctor, he had something comparable "Grasp of the Dead" a nice AOE skill that slows/damages mobs. :)
However, my current summoner has basicly 0 sockets left for new skill gems at least not if these need additional support gems. Typical summoner issue. :D |

so.. basically,
flesh and bone offering 3linked to increased duration? i am all for summons , but .... arent we running out of room? 4l head for da zombies the 6l chest for da specters the 4l boots for da skellys the 3l shield for the guardian the wand for 2 auras , the gloves for 3 auras. one of them minions be going the way of the dodo. my best bet is if these skills are even HALF good , this will probably cause summon Skelly to be obsolete. that is just what i am thinking will happen. |

Can we get a sneak peek at the damage that desecrate does? Would really like to know if the damage of it is even viable as it only seems like a very situational low-tier utility skill.

" Yeah just easily drop the skellys. Also I would bother with the guardian right now. Though I still have an arc to spread shock and EE. And of course at least 2 curses. I probably drop Lightning Warp although its feels almost as cool as D2 teleport. Dropping Arctic armor also. So technically almost all utility skills to facilitate the new ones |

" Oh shit no, you might have just fucked my chaos build. I use viper strike and desecrated ground, so unless you buffing the dot, DUN BREAK IT! I like the flat percent degen combining with all my dot and chaos nodes. When i curse enemies with Vuln i get just over 50% during the 8 seconds its alive. For those that dont know, desecrated ground currently deals about 17-19% during its 8 second duration (estimated range, tho pretty sure it is actually 18%), and is buffed by all dot and chaos nodes. If that sounds OP, you haven't seen how slow it is. Only really useful in drawn out fights or bosses, otherwise its just a little extra dmg when i block. " Wait are you saying that the new desecrate skill, is a dot ground effect? From what i read, i thought it was a straight up hit. Please clarify. " Reading the comments on these skills, I think most people did not understand that this skill summon "corpses" you can use to summon things, it's not another summon. (Especially all the "cold crit build will be even more of a problem" replies) We're getting closer and closer to a viable melee deathknight build with these skills...now gimme some single target nuke that can heal minions or damage ennemies and we're good to go ! |
