I think the pre-purchase shop is still on because of ALL YOU NUTS WHO ARE LATE IN BUYING and keep the connections to PayPal and whatever permanently open :D.
That guy who actually said he got Gold using PayPal Bill Me Later inspired me to try and get Diamond, in what I can only say was a crazy-last-moment decision (I am prone to these).
