Titan quest, Torchlight 2 players opinion about the game
" " I quoted this post from the recent Torchlight 2 thread, which was already pushed back by new threads. I made some changes in the quote since I found a better link for the synergies mod, and added the picture for the stash tabs. But yeah, with these mods, Torchlight 2 is a much darker game now, and there is more mob density and other stuffs, so expect a bloodbath. Oh yeah, the synergies mod updates a couple of days, and the author to this mod is about halfway through finishing making a Paladin class. ;) Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Last edited by JohnNamikaze#6516 on Jan 21, 2013, 5:03:04 PM

WoW this community is awesome, so many responses, another question is about the class balance i would like to play a melee character, how is it compared to the range ones and also how is the pvp for melee classes?

You will need only two games, PoE for online more competitive oriented play with trading and similar things, and TL2 for offline play with heavy support of mods. No other arpg game will be needed for a looong time (except maybe Grim Dawn that is still in development by the people that did titan quest)
Edit: If you want a good melee, you make him a range melee xD Last edited by Ragnar119#4963 on Jan 21, 2013, 5:33:12 PM

"While there is certainly a diversity of opinion, I would say that the general consensus is probably that ranged characters are significantly advantaged as of the end of the closed beta. However, there are a significant number of changes coming to the game with the open beta, and they've committed to looking at what people are doing from there and making additional adjustments. For that reason, it's probably best to take any balance concerns with a grain of salt, as significant changes are coming in the days ahead. |

I loved TQ, as a single player game I enjoyed it even more than D2.
Torchlight 1 and 2 were just mediocre. Didn't like the cartoonish theme to it. I felt like Torohlight was too casual. I don't want a cute furry animal as a pet, I'd rather kill, skin and eat a cute furry animal. Then wear its skin over my head, or vendor it. Torchlight was just a little too girly. " That's the problem with PoE though, when I make a melee character I want to play melee and not be handicapped doing so. Seems like the only effective build for melee is to have some sort of range attacks which sucks. I'm not a big fan of hyrid archetypes, if I play melee I want to be able to play melee without feeling like I'm at a disadvantage. |

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is a better game than Path of Exile currently, especially in single player. It has more varied loot, locations, monsters and damage types. It has a beautiful and very fitting soundtrack. It is overall more balanced than Path of Exile at the moment and it also has a perfect difficulty balance, that is it's not too hard and not too simple. I don't think guys at GGG realize that the harder the game is, the fewer viable builds there gonna be. So in order to make more builds viable you HAVE TO lower the difficulty or rebalance the whole thing altogether.
