Very nice, how a lore sub forum and also a fanfiction sub forum? The world is rich enough to support both and will foster more great writing like this!

IMO, best sentence in the story:
" I'm a big fan of lore and world-building in fiction, so I especially enjoyed your lore explanation of some of the game mechanics, like the story of the foolish wise king, and Alira's matyrs. That stuff at the end though, about finding the right colour gems to socket into a R-G-B linked item with a portal gem was a bit confusing, and doesn't seem consistent with the mechanics of the game. Then again, I've never gotten far enough to do maps, so maybe it does reflect some end-game mechanic that I do not know of. Anyway, excellent story!
