Critical Chance question

In the passive skill tree, one could easily have over 200 percent of critical chance

is it worth it to have more than 100 pct of crit chance? Do bosses have some sort of immunity or counteraction?

Reflect dmg is a bitch
Care to explain? I didn't get access to the game yet
The Crit chance is not critical as such. It modifies the base critical chance of your spells/weapons, thats why it is phrased "%th increased crit chance".
Sandercd:

Most weapons are only 5% chance to critical making a 100% increase only give you a 10% total

At low level putting points into crit mods may only result in a fraction of a percent of increased DPS

You need a lot of them to even have something noticeable start happening over just taking a +10 or +30 Strength passive

First of all, you can't get 200% chance to crit, these values are multiplicative not additive and suffer from diminishing returns the higher the value gets.

What debix meant is that mobs with reflect damage usually screw over crit builds especially ranged ones since they haven't got the best survivability and usually aren't able to tank away the reflected damage.
Well some mobs have a change to reflect DMG ( not sure on %) you hit back at you so if you have a lot of cc and cd it could be problematic. That's the only downside I could think of
And if we're talking end-game lets say I get 150% crit chance through passive skill tree and 50% crit chance through daggers, what would happen exactly?

Because in games such as torchlight or diablo Critical Strike is a great thing to have, increasing your DPS 1.5 times (assuming you have 100 crit chance)
A further notice: a lot of monsters are also capable of elemental and physical reflection at higher levels in the game, especially in the endgame maps. If you hit them hard enough, or even if you hit them with a regular attack if your dps is high enough, you might meet your maker. So, it's often worth it to be careful with certain modifications. If a rare, for instance, spawns with reflect on its minions, you're going to be in trouble, especially if your dps (physical or elemental) is particularly high.

For instance, you can usually get an average of 2-6k in life depending on your build in endgame. If you do 30k dps on a monster while you have 6k in life, and the same monster has a reflect aura on it, you're deader than a doornail if that happens, since 20% of 30k is 6k.

Another thing to keep in mind when playing.

edit: crit chance wasn't so great when facing off against oblivion knights with sudden iron maiden then you're dead.
