Elemental Buzzsaw & Static Strike - Solo the entire game, quickly and cheaply 1.1.0 update

i am not quite sure i understand how you achieved 84% fire and light resist,

you have 75(normal)+2(passive)+4(auras)=81 so how come in your def tooltips its shows 84?

70% increased effect of auras. So that 4% extra from auras is actually 4 x 1.7 = 6.8, rounds up to 7% extra max resists from auras :)
thanks ;p

and last question between this build:
Spoiler
[HC][Nemesis] (The Super Tank 2h) EB/MOM/IR/US/AA Spectral Throw or Ground Slam
http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/549507

and the one you are using they both look tanky and have high DPS but this one doesnt require Alpha Howl, i dont want to test both to know wich one is better si if any one could tell me wich one would be better lategame?

@Mathil or anyone else actually:

Has anyone toyed around with a melee version of this build possibly using reave???

I am currently at level 73 using Lightning Coil, Saffell's and enduring cry/immortal call. Going very well. Using grace while I level until I have over 5k HP and my evasion is above 50% and DPS is nice at 3.6k.

I was thinking that using reave and specing into unwavering stance while still using enduring cry/immortal call along with lighting coil for physical dmg protection would be an alternative.

Not sure about the DPS though. With reave you can get rid of LMP since it is already an AOE skill and possibly use concentrated effect in its place (69% increased dmg at level 20, that is some major dps increase). If you had a 20% quality reave then you get that extra attack speed which would be nice.

Again, not sure about the DPS. I will have to look at the math.

Here is the passive that I came up with. If someone can take a look and see if they can improve on it let me know :)

@xeno: Super tank build will not even come close to the DPS of this build.

HOWEVER, yes the super tank build is just that...a super tank. It is still not all that cheap honestly since you need a decent 2H weapon. Either Kaom's Primacy 5L (3 exalts) or a better 2H weapon with 5L (at least 2-3 exalts).

So basically I would say that the super tank build is comparable to the buzzsaw build in cost. It is more tanky, but you also don't offer as much to any parties you are in because the super tank build only runs hatred, discipline, clarity and grace.

The buzzsaw build has more DPS output, is fairly easy to play if you pay attention, and can literally double (or triple in some cases) the dps of each member of your party; in addition to giving your party a good resistance boost with purity of fire and lightning.

thanks for the reply!! but i am a solo player only i really dont party that often!! so i was wondering what would be your answer considering that i only solo?

Well if you only solo then honestly either build. The super tank build will likely not have a very fast clear speed compared to this build.

Also, you really don't have to have alpha's howl with this build, it just allows you to run 3 60% auras and 2 40% auras. Without Alpha's howl you can still run 3 60% auras and one 40% aura. The three 60% auras alone are plenty strong and you can decide if you want to run grace or hatred.

Also, just for everyone's information, you can run three 60% auras and two 40% auras with alpha's howl and level 17 reduced mana gem. You DO NOT have to have level 20 reduced mana gems to run the 5 auras. I am running 5 auras right now and and I have 4 mana left :)

Running ST off blood magic obviously and also running enduring cry, enfeeble and temporal chains on a blood magic gem.

Currently also running immortal call, increased duration and enduring cry on level 11 CWDT gem. Debating on if I should replace enduring cry with enfeeble and pop in elemental weakness in the spot where enfeeble was.

I am pretty sure it is 94% increased effect of auras so just shy of 8% extra max resists from aura's and the decimal gets dropped down to 7. Nothing gets rounded in our favor.
Darkknight is correct. Forgot about inner force.

And I also forgot that GGG are the ultimate trolls in that they don't understand basic maths :(

Who ever heard of rounding down with values above 0.5. LOL. The "Path of Chris Wilson Ultimate trolls". That is what this game should be called :)
Hi im thinking about playing with this build, but with some melee skill on gloves, like:

1. elemental hit+blood magic+faster attacks+life leech (why is no1 using EH?)

2. frenzy+blood magic+faster attacks+life leech

3. double strike/lighting strike/reave (one of them, dont know about gems)

What do you guys think? Also about bandit quest, im planning to do 40 life/skillpoint/skillpoint, is that good?
