New Forum Policy: No Hateful Posts

Chris, perhaps you should add a word/phrase filter to the post reply action? It would definitely help some.

Keep up the great work you evil, evil man .... always taking my money and stuff. :P <3 GGG

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience!

people should just resolve their problems in PVP.

not really, but i like this. good job GGG.
Can I still say things that absolutely bash GGG if they are concise and constructive?

Honest question.

"just for try, for see and for know"
these are some of the best forums I've seen let alone for a game.

I've been upset at some trolley stuff, and understand the need
for this policy. I really like the general peer relationship... like
we are harsh with our language and eachother and that is respected
as far as its not hateful. pretty free speech I think.

I find myself sometimes getting involved in bad discourse
and recognize a downward slide when I see one. I like the policy
of aiming higher, peer pressure should also factor in
and regularly does on the forums.

The devs are really good people. There was a post a while back where
a dev was involving himself in a very harshly critical discussion
about his work. I think it was Mark. anyway I knew it was taking
a toll on him, but he was very professional and kept trying to
contribute a response that elucidated a developers opinion of
the content of the discussion, as negatively framed as it was.

I've seen this kind of patience from the team a few times
and respect the professionalism and the regard for the community.

Its a mess when not only do you get a sour mood from an animated
detractor, but the discussion can get further derailed by a pile
on against you, or an animated defense of you... and the baby is
thrown out with the bath water...

the new policy saves us all some anguish frankly.

stay classy people.

;P

GG, GGG!
I honestly, completely absolutely entirely dumbfounded as to how the R word cannot be synonymously used with "slow".
I don't understand how that is an issue when that is exactly what the word means.

It is unhateful in absolutely any way and used as a synonym for "lag", and even applies to the entire subset of peoples whom are such.
I fail to see how deterring from the most prominent, critical definition of a word is constructive.

Not mad - just really really really confused.
Not sure if this is the right place for this :O

Good policy change imo.

I just wish I could understand why in the fuck people play a game they don't like to begin with.

And to top it all off, the game is completely free. Not only is it free, it's probably the best ARPG offering out there right now.

Hmm, I'm ranting. Good change though.

in my experience with forums this will be a good change. the best ones are always heavily moderated. The only ones you'll see complain are the ones that are guilty of the very thing this is trying to stop. If you cant act right you are just not welcome. Its expected of you in real life and the forum should be no different.

But thus do I counsel you, my friends: distrust all in whom the impulse to punish is powerful!
