Video about Kiwi packs, 0.9.13m patch and new race events

I don't understand how people can brave the harsh wilds of Wraeclast without a trusted kiwi beside them. I mean, your character will likely need emotional support, and something to cuddle with on those dark nights in the jungle to stave off the insanity, and a kiwi is perfect for that.

I dont understand why would you waste so much money to get a virtual cosmetic pet, even if it is as awesome as kiwi?

I dont mind supporting independent developers, be it game or tool, with a moderate amounts but 100+ $ is way too much. Diamond pack price of 1000$ is 20-odd brand new games you can buy or it will get you 2 or 3 professional programs.

You've only been around a week, so it's not surprising that what's going on here is a bit perplexing. I'll explain my reasons for being a supporter; others can speak for themselves.

I found this game, was given a key by a friend, and thoroughly enjoyed my game play. That wouldn't have been enough to get my $$$, though - what convinced me to support GGG was the company's incredible level of interaction with the community, and willingness to listen to what we wanted. Good night, I've lost track of the number of times I've seen the devs (last night it was the Lead Dev) in Global chat. Do you have any idea how utterly rare that is in the gaming world?

It's not about cost / value justification - though that is still a strong factor given the amount of fun I've had for my fifty bucks; it's about supporting a company that is doing everything right. If GGG's business model is successful, soon other companies will try to replicate it - and actually listen to what their players think about the game. I've been gaming a long time, and I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like Grinding Gear Games; it's important to me that they be successful, as they have earned my business and my support. Get yourself a kiwi; 25 bucks probably qualifies as "moderate". I think that if you are indeed a supporter of indie developers, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better one to support than GGG.

- Now, back to trying to dig up enough cash for that silver kiwi. Take care and have fun here.

this almost sounds like a desperate cry for cash.

While it doesn't sound like that at all, it's in the best interest of the players. More $, equals more servers, which gives us players a better experience come game day and beyond.

umm considering the number of beta testers such as myself who stopped playing long ago.
I'd be surprised if a few hundred more kiwi sales will amount to many more servers.

you want to know where they are going? look which beta feedback threads actually get GGG responses. everything else is wasted typing. I'm not seeing much reason to re-install the game for the open beta. the extra act might add a bit of play but this game is so copy paste D2 its a shame. the act2 darkness was a really pathetic rip off, look who's act 1's big boss remind you of Andariel? so she uses cold instead of poison may as well have had the extra limbs.the church yard full of skellies...etc the list is long where they didn't get original.

Considering the raising amount of players/chars participating in races, and the amount of people logged in onto the game, let there be only one conclusion: there are more people get in then get out.

For the 'lack of uniqueness': do you call any (board) game an obscene copy, just cause most of them use the same (generic) figurines/characters? D2 has made/introduced a lot of generic work and rules for the genre - some of them (beside other basics like general spell functionality etc) are simply so fundamental, you cant build a game of the same genre while preventing their use or at least adaption...

POE introduces such a lot of improvements and even complete new aspects into the genre, that it really is much more than a copy, even more as a successor to D2 - its a new MILESTONE to the genre - even with the issues it still has.

Keep it on topic please. We have an entire feedback board for these sorts of discussions.
