[1.2.x] Oos' Crit Dagger Capped Block Ranger (Reave / Flicker / Double Strike) Acrobatics or IR

Hmmm they moved vaal pact to the south of Scion area, according the the version of tree available on poebuilder, to get it by going from the thick skin cluster 1 more passive is needed... Could also get it by going through scion evasion cluster but i don't know how viable that would be :(
Love the new tree for this build, you grab sentinel going for vaal pact which is just awesome, not to mention the numerous life nodes that are near that line, along with 15% phys (near VP). There's also that 18% lightning res for coil users, should they need it.

Gonna try dagger with carnage heart but maybe switch to claw since i wanted this to be a boss killer and was gonna rely on big dmg + VP to survive...

Who knows, its not completely suicidal to use blood rage for bosses now as a life VP since you can always pop a health potion after it's dead to prevent blood rage from killing you... 20% leech should be enough.
Agreed, blood rage wouldnt be that bad if you could get your chaos res to around 70%
Edit: I'm wondering as well what would be a good body armor for a claw build lategame other than Lightning Coil( might not need it with VP)... I was thinking 6L daressos or maybe well crafted astral plate(str might be a pain to get though), or is Carcass Jack really the best alternative :p?

After reading patch notes I don't think will suffer a lot. It will be worse, but not a lot.

Life leech change: we will still do high enough dps to leach a lot more than we actually have. Perhaps after killing all mobs in a pack we will not be able refill full life. But I do not think i will be the case. During combat no difference what so ever.

Crit multi nerf: will reduce the dmg slightly. If all crit multy affixes on items are scaled as maligaro (50% -> 36%) it means the 70% crit multy on amulets will become 50%. If they don't change the amount the support gem provides this is not such a big deal imo. I think very few builds actually take crit multiplier nodes on tree which were nerfed, since dps scales much better with %phys nodes if you have a high crit multy on gear and gem.

Love the build mate, sold all my other std characters and equipped this one the best I could. Will play new leagues now. And level this one when I am bored.

Lol your gear dude :D best in topic, good shit. Yeah the build isn't nerfed too bad, lost like 5% multi on the tree and got health buff. It will only hurt the guys rolling crit mutli gear in new leagues.

Build looks good but you have very low life%, 166% is way too low for melee if you want to tackle high maps.

The Vaal Pact change isn't as bad as it first looks, I really want to test it in game to see if it;s worth getting. Well for Claw build it will be sweet, but probably not for daggers unless you stack 10%+ leech.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll update the topic as soon as I can, have fun!

Topic updated, tree is unchanged (lose 5% crit multi for some more life).
I don't play the build anymore but I'll continue to keep this thread updated and reply to you guys. Maybe I'll rebuild this character in a month or so, good luck and have fun.

Got an idea from the tree Dxbydt has linked... skipping the roundabout way that thick blood requires allows to grab a bit of crit mult for claws, the life can be substituted by the 4x 8% cluster on the way to vaal pact and then Written in blood cluster is easy to grab up top too in case more life is needed, might be a bit better damage wise I think?

Is the tree progression the same for HC?

Pretty much, progress how you prefer though, you don't need much dps nodes until later anyway.
