i just purchased a creative sound card today and yeah i am having the same exact exception error prompts and crashes
and my creative audigy rx drier is up to date shame man... i play through steam and did "verify integrity game cache" it ran clean i guess the creative sound card is just no good with PoE (as mentioned earlier in this thread) Back to the on board :/ Last edited by chriswinter on Jun 11, 2015, 12:13:40 AM

just add -swa to your shortcut target or launch options.

That is correct.
It won't necessarily use the Creative card still, since -swa enables the software audio output (which uses CPU to render), but it won't crash, and you don't need to do anything else odd with the configuration or system. Unfortunately, the game uses OGG format data which the Creative drivers just don't seem to support well (at least in the format that PoE uses). It could possibly be fixed by GGG in the future, or it could just be a driver problem with the cards that won't ever get resolved for PoE... who knows. Good luck. | |
