The text on wiki relates to bonus from aura once it's applied on receiver. So, if your attack is affected by anger aura that bonus will be affected by weapon elemental damage, if you're affected by clarity regen passives will work on that bonus and so on.

Aura passives apply directly to bonus you aura outputs, you can think of it as 'before' it affects others.

A common practice right now is to pump in a bunch of points into aura passives and run the 3 mono elemental purity auras because they give + maximum resistances.

(yes minions should get the bonus from increased aura effect nodes)


my character currently uses purity of fire , purity of lightning , purity of ice , purity of elements and vitality for when i do maps.

i get about 110 resist all in auras alone, meaning i dont need to have much resist in gear (im at - 20 resist all without auras and over capped with auras)

i switch off purity of ice and fire for hatred when doing boss runs .

between my auras and saffels flame necro aegis my minions have capped spell block and 85% resist all.

this is 100% necessary if you want to use damage gems on minions and have them live long enough to fight map bosses like temple piety

which do stupid damage in elemental.

otherwise you need to stack life on them which includes minion life and the very costly fully leveled* empower gem.


ggg has yet to answer exactly how much armor minions have . until then no one really bothers using things like determination with minions.


as for specter, there are 4 popular minions and each has a very specific use
for fast clear speed people use burning miscreations. These fellas use what is called unrighteous fire which places an stupidly powerful dot around the minion.

it will boost clear speeds immeasurably.

people usually get only one of them though , 2 if they don't want to make sure their dot procs fast.

the gems peeps use with them are:
burn damage:
concentrated effect:
increased area of effect
remote mine
minion life (if they need it)
minion damage
trap
or even fire penetration.

most people tend to avoid fire pen and burn damage because they are specific to burning miscreations and are red gem slots .

the second specter are the undying evangelists. evangelists have the protective bubble that prevents ALL ranged damage from sources outside the bubble.

people use

increase aoe and increased duration to keep the bubble up for 98% of the time meaning 98% of the time (assuming you are in the bubble) all ranged attacks dont deal damage to you.

alot of people use evangelists in groups of 3 or 4 when fighting very dangerous bosses.


the third are the tentacled miscreations. These are great for their insane single target damage potential. but they use every different supports because they cant use the inc aoe and conc effect combo. usually you switch it out for lmp + projectile physical damage .


And finally there are the flame sentinals
flame sentinels basically have lmp and fork for free without losing damage. that is their huge draw.

but they are inferior to the titty bitches because they cant leech life as well due to a combination of their ai sometimes putting them in bad spots and their attack speed not being as fast.

ultimately the last two specters are interchangeable.

no other specter type is good.
