1.0.1 Patch Notes

-Map drops and boss drops increased, makes sense.

-Purity changes and new auras, we'll see how it fares.

-Not keen on the enemy hp nerf on parties, though. Yes it was high, but aggro and therefore damage you take is distributed between all the players so it wasn't that bad. I'll be ok with it if they balance solo accordingly



EDIT: Damn, Cast on Damage Taken ruined. Fun nerfed. Streamlined usage of skills ruined. Playing experience nerfed.

Back to self-casting high level Enduring Cry, it's annoying, but it can't be helped.
I'll mess around with low level CODT for some Molten Shell though, I refuse to self cast that thing.
And I needed it, since I can't run Grace becuase I'm going for Mind Over Matter and need some free Mana.
Are you forcing me to go Kripp build and ditch Mind Over Matter/Eldritch Battery? Are you nerfing Build of the Week based builds? Are you limiting our options? Thaaanks

Read again:

Cast On Damage Taken: The level requirement of gems augmented by Cast on Damage Taken may not exceed the level requirement of the Cast on Damage Taken gem. Edit: Many people seem to be reading this wrong.

Basically if your codt gem requires level 56 to use, any gem requiring level 57 or more to use cant be triggered by codt.

Cant put it more clearly, but I bet some ppl still wont understand.

Great patch.

Not too fond of the purity nerf, but it does add an interesting versatility to the game...

End game maps is probably maps lvl 77 and lvl 78. Yaay-_-

yeah and then the chance is bigger to find high level maps.... as in when u do 77-78 u find 71-72 maps?
I think cast on damage taken was... slightly overnerfed, maybe, I believe the damage taken to trigger at higher levels should be toned down a little.

Not back at 400 mind you, that was cheap and we all know it, but the numbers at the higher levels are really big, more than 3k hp for the real high ones; atm I'd say I'm leaving it at level 10 and maybe dropping down my linked gems.
why not make CODT scale with % of max health per level.

Why not make skills like enduring cry and molten shell worth self casting instead of forcing melee chars, who depend on damage output to leech life, stop in the middle of a fight to recast the few buffs that are actually useful to them?

Reduce the cast speed of molten to near instant. Add a stun or damage reduction debuff to surrounding enemies when enduring cry is activated. Or even make the supposed taunt mechanic tactically useful by having it force ranged enemies into melee range like D2 taunt.

The reason everyone was using CoDT with those skills is because they are counterintuitive when used by their target builds. If you're going to make melee stop in the middle of a fight, it had better be to do something more useful than keeping up the endurance charges they already have it spending a second taking damage to cast an armor buff.
