However, he doesn't need the damage to keep alive. With an Abyssus I guess the DPS would be better, however, I fear the 40% + increased damage alot, without Aegis Aurora this can be really an issue. I can afford the helmet but not the Shield. And the fact that I only have 4l items to use Infernal Blow doesn't make it better. 5l would be nice for more dps, I don't have an "phys dmg on full life" gem (didn't even know this support gem exist :D ) but at least attack speed would be possible. I guess I just have to farm more, maybe some drop luck will help. Trading however is so annoying and time consumpting that I better level my charas in that time. I was worried about the Abyssus at first as well but am very glad I got mine just last night on nemesis. I jumped from 5.5k dps to 9k and that is even with dropping added fire damage for life leech gem. With the fire gem Its likely a good 11-12k but with the rest of my rather poor gear I'm opting for survival first lol. I would not recommend it for boss fighting unless you are confident in the rest of your kit but I'm currently leveling in merciless fellshrine or catacombs in act 3. Works great! I know that it sounds suspisios and you are telling to yourself - "Yeah right you do the maps but you can't proove it!" . But that's the truth... i know it.. and actualy that's enough for me :) P.S. Actualy i do :) I never switch the Abyssus .. i was just giving you the numbers because someone who wants to play safer ( like a player in a hardcore league ) would probably want to use a High ES helmet instead of the Abyssus - The DPS will drop with around 10-15k DPS.. but 30k AoE dps is more than great in a hardcore league .. in return a good ES helmet ( lets say 400ES ) will give you around 1500 extra ES. In courtyard i prefer to switch the Aegis Aurora with my 529 ES Titanium Shield.. you know.. just in case because the mace guy can potentialy one-shot me ;) "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! because i need to waste 5 skill points in order to get to the IR and to turn my increadably low evasion rating (500) into armour. Grace is not an option because i need to eighter lose around 2000 ES from loosing Discipline or lose around 10000 DPS from loosing Hatred because there is absolutely no way to run the 3 auras at the same time "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! Hi Kogoth. I have just completed all of the items that I need for my build and might even have slightly more ES on my gear than you do. However my Energy Shield while using discipline is only at 2,700. (I'm currently level 65) Will I really be able to get 4,000-5,000 Energy shield only from passives By the time I'll reach level 80+? Well i do.. i see no resaon why you shouldn't be able to achieve that... its actualy 5000+ for me ;) so if you have more ES on yor gear than me you'll have even more! hey korgoth! started mapping yesterday (low lvl maps) with about 2500 ES and 60% block on aurora still to do: - find a proper 5l rrrrr ar/es chest with 500+ armor / 300+ ES - obtain abyssus as of now, because i am on 4l and have no abyssus, my damage is rather low (not to mention my ES). most low level maps are manageable tho, apart from nasty combinations of say, vulnerability curses and +phys damage aura bosses. still a lot of fun, right now i am trying to 5l a mid-game rrrrr ar/es chest which will give me a massive boost for damage and ES/Armor. took iron reflexes for levelling because i had lots of evasion items. p.s. - just noticed that infernal blow kills those crabs that after "death" turn into ranged crab like things with one hit. amazing! hate those little buggers. current gear: Last edited by ab_#5633 on Dec 23, 2013, 3:11:04 AM	Posted by ab_#5633 on Dec 23, 2013, 3:05:13 AM Quote this Post
