Further Update to Map-only Uniques

And again, another stupid update to make the game easier and more noob friendly.

What's so bad in finding the highest tier of uniques in map only? they are supposed to be hard to find, damn.

This game is making the exact same mistakes of D3: listening to the continuos casual wines. Over and over again, i'm tired to see every game ruined by casuals. I want the game to be hard, to be HARDCORE like GGG states, i want the best drops to be hard to find or only droppable in high level content (and thus hard to find)

Why always this policy of "everyone are equal"... NO damn, if you can't farm 70+ maps you deserve to not have the very best equip. and Don't say that items like Kaoms/shav are NEEDED for 72+ maps because is not true, and you know it. Maps until 72-73 can be done with a 4L.

SCREW THIS now i'm pissed

You don't get the main problem. As far as I see, it isn't the casuals who are pissed off, but those who play in solo. Why would any content be only available for 6-men premades? Or to those who spend hours on trading daily? What if I prefer to play in solo, and the item/gem/passive system is deep enough for me to ignore the trading, or make it minimal? It looks kinda impossible to constantly play on 74+ maps without a party, which seems to be bad.

Im mainly solo player and i sell very little, my time spent on trade is maybe 1/25 of total gameplay; this said, i wansn't pissed at all with the fact that certain uniques could drop only on high maps; in fact, i was MOTIVATED.

Motivated to farm more, to have a better equip, to have that damn 5L (i'm running 72-73 maps in Nemesis with 4L, LOL); all players should be motivated to farm and play with map only drops, not pissed or frustrated. If you're not motivated, then you don't like to farm, if you don't like to farm, this game isn't for you. Simple

What about all map levels being increased by 2 or 3? That would make it much easier to get 71+ maps, which would make them an obvious step up from boss run's exp and base items. Would also make the unique item level requirements feel less out of reach, but still map-only.

If I could have a CHANCE of playing last tier of maps I also agree that some uniques can be high level map only. But during the whole open beta I had no chance to play on 74+ map!!! Not because it was too hard. Only because map drop system is broken. This is the ONLY thing I don’t like in PoE.

If you don't have a chance, then you're doing something wrong, you can buy high tier maps too from othger players, you're not forced to find them.

Actually, in Nemesis i'm doing from 68 to 73 maps only self founded, but if i want to, i could easily buy a 74+ map from other players and play it, you need to spend resorces ofc
thx for letting me waste 100s of chance orbs on glorious plates...

While I'd like to thank you GGG for quick reaction on the item requirement feedback,
I still see no reaction on the (in my opinion) MAIN ISSUE of this whole thread.

The main issue is, as many ppl see it, the impossibility to sustain the map pool, ESPECIALLY in the SOLO play. I think, not many ppl would actually mind having high level item requirements and obtainability only in maps, if there was a mechanism that would reduce (or best remove) the random generator for map drops.

I think, the map system in general is a GREAT IDEA, when i first learnt about it i was really happy about such endgame feature. But the current dropsystem makes it a big failure atm.

I'd offer an easy solution too: have map drop probability/certainty fixed with quality ratio on map. Lets say, 30%Q grants you and -2lvl map drop at least, 50%Q grants you -1lvl map, 80%Q grants you same lvl map at least?
(possibly alternate the %s for solo and party play, as big groups sure have it easier to turn %s higher and solo play is way too much punished here)

I understand that you want to keep the endgame somewhat exclusive, but nowadays its WAY TOO exclusive. Maintaining map pool above lvl 70 is way too harsh, above 72 almost impossible, for sure impossible without group play and massive trading. The currency spent on maps is cost high enough imo, in contrary to running free bosses in nonmaps.

You already promoted group play by auras nerf, why not give some incentive for solo players as well? The possibility to keep the mappool would be great start.
Other incentives, like giving the map-bosses same bonus like act bosses have, would be good too, but we don't want to be greedy. Just the map-drop chances would be great change.

Oh yes we should buy maps to fix the broken map system , i will do so right after they implemented the Action House and The Real Money Auction house. Kappa
Yes! love these new chages. I'm already excited on what's next.
Any hopes of raising some zones levels back up ? Why add to the game but decrease area levels? Shouldn't we be getting higher level area? And why did you reduce Solaris Temple to 2 levels :( just curious as I really like the game but don't understand why you shrink/ decrease parts of as you add other content.

Ok I ll buy one lvl 78 map, always roll it 80% and run it forever.. Briliant idea. If game GRANTS you something, that means you ALWAYS get it. When you always get it, it becomes common and boring..

I have another briliant idea, what if merc. Dominus GRANTS Kaom Heart?? That would be awesome or wouldnt it??

i think... you should be a good player with a well designed tree to deserve higher maps, also like higher stuff.

thats the point. having a good build should be the reason to get some really great uniques, others not.
