global critical strike chance

Is this mod supposed to increase spell chance aswell?

I got the serpant stance passive expecting it too be true but it was only affecting weapons skills.

feedback - I find it misleading if the answer is no to the above question.
Global Critical Strike Chance should affect the spells' chance to crit, yes.

Were you wielding a staff? Serpent Stance demands that you wield a staff to gain the bonus.
And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.

Yes I am.

I think it is just the passive that is not working. I remember the mod working from an amulet.

I've got the passives near the templar start that 55% + 13% from a staff i'm using. default for spell is 5% crit. 5 * 1.68 = 8.4% which is what i'm getting but when I add the passive it stay at that value.

It seems to be working for me, I'll check on a copy of your character later.

I must reiterate. The issue seems to be the serpent passive branch only. The bonus does work for my melee skill(glacial hammer) but it does not work for my spell (ice nova). I've respected my char twice just to make sure but the passive is not working as intended. There is a bug here.

I can tell you for sure this isn't true. You're screenshotting shock nova, which has a base crit chance of 3%, not 5%.

This will be capped up to 5% if not increased above that point, but the base which is being increased is 3%, not 5%.

EDIT: Apologies, I didn't recognise the ice nova icon, I believe I was remembering an old version in my head which looked different. The base crit chance of Ice Nova is indeed 5%.
Shock Nova's lower crit chance is usually the cause of reports like these.

Same problem today. Critical Strike Chance of Fireball doesn't changed. Picked 1 of 3 nodes (Critical Chance with Staff).

These nodes doesn't make sense. Simple critical chance nodes also increase spell critting it's just not displayed, since I saw a lot of popular builds using them. So whats the difference between Critical strike chance and Global? I thought it increases your overall chance to crit not spells or weapons...
