0.9.13 crash fixing results
The type of crashes being discussed here are the ones where an individual game instance server dies. We're not talking about client crashes or full-realm crashes, which have different graphs and are also solved in a similar way. You'll notice that it appears to rise or fall just before the point we actually deployed the patch. This can be ignored - it's due to the way the crashes are counted per hour and this graph interpolates the data over time. As you can see, the 0.9.13 deployment introduced a high rate of instance server crashes per hour - enough that each player was getting one every six hours on average. The 0.9.13b patch reduced the rate of crashes by a factor of five, and the 0.9.13c patch yesterday finished fixing all of the common ones. It's now very rare for the game instance server to crash on a player. | |

Whoa, interesting to see such a graph. And it shows, that within 6 hours or so, you guys stabilized the game significantly. Great work!! Keep on rockin \m/

Very cool. I'm surprised your stats on crashes can be so accurate. But I guess you have a well built-in client, that sends the crash notice at the perfect time?
It seems like you have the perfect pipeline once OB starts. You'll have a direct feed to keeping all the newbies happy. My Keystone Ideas: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/744282

It is awesome to get such a "behind the scene" look. I am glad that you are willing to do just that and for me it really helps to trust GGG and feel involved beyond being a customer.
Great work |

That's quite cool.
Always impressive how quickly you get those patches out, too! |

I've really been enjoying this game for quite some time now, and I keep telling myself I need to upgrade my supporter pack. I really fell in love with PoE with 0.9.11, but now that 0.9.13 is released, the website is upgraded and OB is just around the corner, this little graph is the final push to get me to upgrade.
Keep up the great work GGG! I know everyone has said it at some point, but no other gaming company (that I'm aware of) has this level of involvement with its community. Please never change that! *sends more money to GGG* |

Excellent job solving issues, excellent transparency and openness, excellent communication with players. I hope such transparency and communication continues after open beta and beyond. *applause*

It always amazes me how quickly you manage to deploy small yet significant patches. One could argue that you need a bigger test pool to catch these before releasing, but that's where the beta testers come in after all.
