Sui Generis (cool tech)
It looks very promising. I especially like the combat system which looks like PoE with added realism.

Idea is awesome but few things need to be adjusted. Combat needs better animation (especially dual wield). As many have mentioned animation speed, flourishes all improve visually as well as statistically.
The combat itself is rather slow, I can't imagine surviving any swarm when you have to go toe to toe with one at a time. Maybe a stance/attack for multiple targets might help but clearly it has a little Witcher 2 type gameplay to it in that you cant just button mash. I am guessing the animation, dodges and parry are all stock. So you just press and hold the attack button and watch a long fight. I can't imagine that being very entertaining after an hour or two. Still the physics is awesome. "How would you like it if I snuck into your country and did this job over there... and not cash in any of your friggin checks?!! You WONT!! Because you will be right here!!" - Master Shake. Last edited by Fartfinder#0474 on Nov 13, 2012, 12:43:37 PM

Sui Generis sort of remind me of Grim Dawn in a sense about the environment, and the theme. Only thing different is that Sui Generis is a bit TOO realistic. lol
At the moment, I am not really interested in the game since I got PoE, TL2, and GD on my priority list. Probably next year around this time is when I will get back to this game. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

VERY cool tech for sure.
And I'm surprised and glad that the idea was executed so well, but maybe not well enough... The combat looks kinda ragdoll drunk, and I think that will put off a lot of people. I've thought for some time about how combat could be made personal, have the player in full control of the character (sword swing direction, power, strafing, foot work etc..), and make the player EXPERIENCE the axe wound on their fore arm, and strive with all power of will to avoid their enemy maiming their body and limbs. Have the player scared shitless about their arms being eaten off by an approaching wolf, because you would in real life, not nearly as much in a game. Sui Generis looks like it will bring some great combat. If they somehow make the character not look drunk, I'll be an even happier camper. Overall though, I'm super excited for it, and plan to check up on it frequently for updates and buy it eventually. If people buy my stuff I'll be able to afford to support the kick starter x) |

Good 2 days to go and they got a considerable boost in the last few hours, but i think that it sadly still won't be enough :(
Btw: i liked the writing update a lot :D EDIT: found something intereting in the comments: (the below quote is one of the devs) " Proud 5th duelist in the Jul 1 2012 Ladder Race and in the Nov 3 2012 Solo Turbo Race :D And even prouder 4th Templar in the Nov 10 Four-hour Party Hardcore Race :P Current OB success: top 20 Ranger in 105 Minute Turbo Solo (S4E9) Last edited by Sony_Black#0112 on Nov 27, 2012, 1:50:28 PM

Yea, I took the alpha pack too.. And upgraded to the next tier for a few minutes ago. It sounds very interesting. PoE and Sui Generis would be a perfect match to shift between :P
