Here's your solution: get multiple gems and use ALL the combinations!
Enfeeble is a great one because it's like a flat damage reduction. Rejuvenating totem is also good for those facetank situations. Another one I've been having fun with is enduring cry-immortal call-warrior's mark. Pair it with a second set that throws down rejuvenating totems, skeletons, and some cold snaps and you can probably facetank just about anything. That gem doesn't work on degeneration damage.
For obvious reasons. The name of the obvious reason being Righteous Fire. Just imagine. However, I am curious as to how it works with lightning warp. | |
enduring cry+molten shell is awesome with cast on dmg.

I tried it with freeze mine but it doesn't work, so I assume it has to be a spell that is not a mine or trap.
I used detonate dead and molten shill connected to my On Damage Taken and it works nicely. For your discharger I would assume enduring cry would work best as it gives you endurance charges constantly. |

I'm not sure if I need more charges, I control my charges and always have as much as I need, I'm not lacking offense really however more defense would definitely be welcomed. Thinking about it more maybe it's not such bad idea, still, I have only 2 red sockets, molten shell takes priority, if I had more then maybe. " Have no place for more, 4L helm is all I can afford, and enough it is. I cannot screw up with curses, crit weakness is all I need and use, don't want new curse in overwriting those. And it's cased offensively, cannot automate it. I have 2 CoDT gems, 1 running end cry + molten shell + Temporal Chains, and the other with Cold Snap + Elem prolif + added cold (no idea what to put in, so why not add more dmg). I plan to get a 3rd gem for immortal call + increased duration but with a higher dmg threshold so I can build up the charges first.

Been theorycrafting my own CoDT -combos aswell, and I got a question for those who have been messing with the gem already; how does immortal call work in combination with enduring cry? Say you got 0 endurance charges, link CoDT with molten shell, enduring cry and immortall call; when you take damage, will immortal call proc with 0 endurance charges, or does it use the charges gained from the enduring cry that also proc'ed? Basically I'm curious will I always have atleast 1 charge IC proc when the gem gets triggered by a melee hit, or do I end up with 0 charge IC if I don't have any charges on me already before taking damage.
