That Decapitation replacement is fantastic indeed! Will pick that up too.
The Hand, not so much, the flapping of the Wrist is distracting and the finger galopping not expressive enough. Would look a lot better (imho) if it was closer to the original "the Thing" movement from Addams Family. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_pMlnOxotA
The stable wrist of course is from a whole human being originally attached to the hand but it gives the hand more of a body so to speak and doesn't distract so much from the fingers. Nice Idle animation though.

Now my actual question, patch notes are fine and dandy but how exactly will Release Day work? Just at the same point opening the downloads and starting the leagues while the game is running should become a fustercluck fast.
As eagerly as I await the start of the new leagues, my favourite way would probably be either 8 hours of server downtime while everybody is downloading the patch and then enable login again to properly start the new leagues (they always feel like a race the first week). That downtime would also be great to get builds finalized on the actual new Passive Tree.
Alternatively, patch the game on Wednesday evening as planned but start the new leagues on friday evening. By then everybody should have patched, some things will probably be hotfixed that would have skewed the new leagues or lead to players leaving and bad press and NoLifers and people on full work days can all start on roughly the same time, with a whole weekend of smooth fun with PoE ahead.
