You guys should definitely put this video on the steam page, as it really shows what PoE is about. That and because the "Launch trailer" on there looks like shit, the open beta trailer was much better.

I can't +1 this enough. I'm sorry to say your launch trailer is horrible, and gives the entirely wrong impression to a randomly browsing Steam user.

I don't know how to feel about this. The build displayed is essentially the same thing I was planning for my Scion post release, pending upon the interaction of cast on damage taken and being able to stagger EC with IC + Molten Shell (as my speculations suggested that IC would be the most reliable way to trigger MS without it being re-cast). As this video confirms, this synergy is possible. If it weren't then I was going to link both EC and Temporal Chains + Enfeeble instead. Provided CoDT can cast curses, I may still adopt this strategy, but for dps curses instead. Since I will want to take some damage to trigger IC + MS, I feel that leech would be a much more useful defense than mitigation, therefore I am considering WLM + Projectile Weakness.

EB and Mana Shield were a definite from the moment Mana Shield was revealed. I'm sure everybody else felt the same way, so I'm not so concerned that this route will be popular. But the rest of it I thought was pretty unique, now it will be cookie cutter for sure. I don't think I necessarily mind that though, as the details revealed about Spectral Throw in this video sound insanely fun!

Yeah, seriously. Did everybody just click on the link and not even read the post? The amount of whining in these threads the last week or so is absurd considering we don't know what percentages the life nodes will have or how many there will be. This video probably doesn't even include the additional +2 life every level.

If the new patch comes out, and life is still the same, then QQ your hearts out, but save the moaning until then. There's a difference between objective speculation and reckless assuming.

Lol. He had top end gear and died on a low level map. Even an extra 500 hp means nothing. He will still get murdered. Welcome to path of ci
I don't know what video some of you are watching. Yes he took a lot of damage FROM BONE RHOA CHARGE at the end. He didn't die, and half of the point of the video is to show off the endurance charges/ immortal call triggers. Which require tanking physical damage. With no shield. Very, very few builds can stand up to a bunch of rhoa charges at level 74 and just pure faceroll like that. He wasn't using any strategy at all.

This ^^
Damn, this video reminds me so much of BW carrier micro.

Carrier has arrived:)

Great vid, this will probably be my second character after I get bored with trapper. But will probably make it with ranger.

I'm not really worried about Scion balance, it can be balance quite easily by radially adjusting the passive nodes - for example, life nodes near scion starting position can be +4%, life nodes in areas between scion and another class can be +6% and life nodes further away from scion, on the other side of another character tree can be +8%. And so on. You can do quite a lot with scion but you will never be able to specialize as much as other classes can.

No mod action. Business as usual.

Oh good, you made a build that shows pretty much everything that's wrong right now.
LIFELIFELIFE, LIFELIFELIFE gear, take IR, etc.

Really?

Not to mention the demo was done with gear a self-found player will never have: like 5 link items grow on trees and getting and linking a 6th socket in the armor for an extra support gem will ever happen without thousands of Fusings and various states of destroyed/unusable armor along the way.

I don't know what to tell you if you believe the layout of the passive tree is going to change. The layout of the middle you saw in this video was said to be older than the leaked tree on reddit. The layout of the middle of the leaked tree on reddit was identical to the layout of the middle of the tree in the GameSpot video from weeks ago, where in the video it was said the tree was old, and was changed.

To sum this up, from the GameSpot video where we first glimpsed the 1.0 tree to the reddit leak which is supposedly the most update to date tree anyone other than the Devs or Alpha testers have seen, the layout of the middle of the tree HAS NOT CHANGED. And this is after being told on several occasions "Don't pay any attention to the tree layout. The tree is outdated. The tree has changed".

Oh, I'm sure nodes have been added/moved/removed/re-added/moved again, but the general layout, including the middle, hasn't changed one bit and I'll be quite surprised if the middle doesn't look exactly like it is right now when 1.0 lands on the live server.

useless, and just another trick to lure in new players ... why useless? because all builds presented by "build of the week" series during closed beta were nerfed to the fuckin ground and are fuckin useless now.
