I expect the Closed Beta supporter packs to come to an end in early December (remember we're still shooting for a 2012 Open Beta). You probably won't be able to upgrade between Closed and Open Beta supporter packs, but we'll post information about this once it's decided. I still have no idea what's going in the Open Beta packs.

To address some comments about how the ladders work in this thread.
We will be revamping the way ladders work in the future. Currently the ladder is just taken directly from the character database, so we can't do some of the more advanced ladder features. I'm going to be splitting the ladder database from the character database at some point. This will mean that we will be able to keep historical ladders (so you will forever be able to see how you ranked in old leagues) and be able to do other features like having dead hardcore players on the ladder if that is what people want. Looking forward to some of the features for the ladder system. Being to look back on old races would be neat. For hardcore ladders i think the dead and alive should be separated if the dead hardcore character list is kept. Would be to cluttered otherwise trying to find yourself on the ladder.
Would there be any option where it would show your ladder rank beside your character? Maybe have this beside your forum pic or below? | |

Regarding the HC ladder, I think it would be good to include people who are perhaps over a certain level or a certain ranking when they die. Perhaps level 60 or 70 as the cutoff. And then put the date of death next to their character name on the ladder, and add an option on the ladder to filter include/exclude dead characters.
