Just don't pay attention to things wickedhood say, Fourier. You can take a search and watch his posts (specially in the internal feedback beta section). He is just a "complaining"-about-all guy, with bad bad manners.

I hope he won't play more in hardcore, after complaining with each death (in spite of understanding their "perfectly" minded builds are awful for hardcore and more or less calling idiots people thought different) and in the forums pretending to have the reason over others just because got different —and better— opinions, and telling them things like "you have no idea", and other more absolutes.

Increased projectile damage, multiple projectile damage, added cold damage are all green support gems. In order to level these up and get them at a point before you ding 50s or so it's just smart to get some dex. Oh and you quickly pick up a solid 15% dmg increase to projectiles within 4-5 dex points, which is pretty good early % dmg increase imo.
