" issue with mines is very simple - in time it takes to cast them and detonate them you'd have killed your target with any other skill in the game. creativity and stuff is nice, but in this case it is more stupidity than creativity when someone tries to use clearly crap mechanics it also requires placing at your feet and luring mobs close to it (and you) - risky, time consuming endeavor with all freedom Remote Mine gives it has been used only to summon zombies/totems for that 'more dmg' multiplier. ONLY for that. Remote Mine now is only about that multiplier. without it NOONE EVER would use it. because why? in some slower, low monster density environments - maybe, but in hectic poe? why bother? With mines it differs only because mines scale like spells and top dmg levels are incredible compared to other - riskier - skills. No reflect damage is a big plus. Someone earlier said it very well - even if this mine is crazy good (and if - it is broken) most players wont find slots for it in their gear. this is stuff for melee - melee needs (besides primary attack) also curse, aura(s), some def.mechanism like end.cry/molten/arctic, maybe blood rage etc. not a lot of free slots left.. which one of these is to go to make place for a highly situational, utility skill that works based on RNG? spellcasters might be another story as they dont need that much sockets as they use less def.skills but they on the other hand dont need melee blind. they can socket Blind easily into their gear btw - most successful melee builds (oxymoron of sorts) use BoR that has Blind built in.. |

how about a new minion gem? ... summon bandit or something... .. like, the shadow ninja is a bandit leader.... they have a totally different usage and rules than necromantic, and dominated minions,
hire mercenaries?? ... but, yeah, i know they were totally flawed in diablo 2 for example, but, im sure you guys can come up with a better mercenary system, your guys gems and orb, and passive tree systems are genius! im a ninja guy, thats how i roleplay my guy... not a spellcaster.. but, its just soo tactically effective to use skeletons to distract the enemy .. I dont want to roleplay a necromancer... i wish i was a bandit leader or something that makes sense for a pure melee character to have a minion ... id even like just 1 guy with me, maybe 2 or 3 if they get upgraded or something... just something :) ... i guess the traps are supposed to be the ninjas minions? ... then what is a marauders/duelists minion/trap/totem ??? AWESOME -->> maybe like.... the marauder's rage is so intense, it like has this like, projection of rage... like its a duplicate -ME- , and its, im so enraged my rage haunts enemys across the room, haunts em so much its as if whatever attack im using is also used against them across the room... its like a shadow-ghost-ME witch- necromancer summons shadow- traps ranger - ranged totem templar - spell totems duelist - ??? ... traps?? marauder - ???
