Weekend Races with Roccat Hardware Prizes

Re maphack: I dont think tons of top players are using it, and i also dont think itll have a major effect on the event- item and monster rng will be far more impactful- but itd still be nice to eliminate maphacks effects, and since we conveniently already have a race mod that does so, why not put it to good use? It should be pretty obvious that a marked increase in the rewards for winning (at anything) come with an associated marked increase in the temptation to cheat.

Re all duelists all the time: Probably, but a bit of crazy rng can put any class in 1st place. These events will likely be a good indication of just how much better some classes early game is compared to others in any case.

Re same players always win: If by "same" you mean "best", then yes, thats how it works. Welcome to competition, enjoy your stay!

Dont really understand all the crying about same ppl winning everytime, they took a lot of time to play and practice, thats why they are TOP PLAYERS, do the same if you are competitive enough, or be happy with the random draw for reaching specific levels. You shouldn't expect to win anything if you are worse than the others.
@Sojournpoe
It's a great promotion, but I would have liked to see the races spread out across a few different days.

I'm pretty much busy all day Saturday and won't be able to play in any of them.

Regardless it's a neat promotion and hope to see more of them in the future.

Maybe I'm just blind, but are you going to tell us the race type before it starts? If not, that would give a significant disadvantage to those players who can only enter the first race, would it not?

I assumed it was regular one hour as nothing specific shared regarding type. I would be surprised if it turned out anything different.

Other than this if GGG stays silent, when you create a character early you can check the type of the race (if you didn't already know).

always the same people that win anyway

grats hellman on your roccat gear

Only the people that are good at races can win, the ones that support the game also and are not that good of players grab next to everything.

I personally do not care and i find this way of sponsoring much better but would be nice that there was a chance for everyone to win and not only those top racers THAT GET THERE ITEMS ALREADY

my 2 cents

Very true

I would like to play shadow and out play all these duelists, but leap slam is a very difficult skill to compete with, note that you can get through from coves > A1 boss in under 40 seconds, and its very unlikely to ever take wrong turns when you can jump over rivers. (not to mention they get to start with cleave, but I dont consider this to be as significant). Only the most experienced shadow can outplay them consistently *cough* CONDEMNED *cough*. Once I learn his secrets maybe then I will be a top tier racer, would love more time to practice.
