Why need to hit twice but fast,instead of having to hit once and kill almost any enemy (even rare enemies in this case).

Besides the increase area of affect means that you don't have to use the increased AOF support gem (that works very well with ground slam)
Plus it has up to 70% increased stun duration ,again this also means you dont have to use that support gem,leaving room for other gems for increase damage or the AS support gem.

Overall its the weapon with the most physical damage in the game atm,and the best weapon for a ground slam build.I wouldn't trade or sell mine for anything else.

No i actually use the faster attacks gem so it can almost fully compensate the weapons low attack speed.I could manage without it but i dont see other support gems that would be better in my current gem combination:





BTW it took me around 60 fuse to get it to a 5L.

So IAS isn't really that over rated as you implied then ? :p

Thing about attack speed is that it that it can add a lot of DPS as you've found out by using the Faster Attack gem.

May I ask how much DPS you have with GS, with and without the Faster Attacks gem?

7500 DPS with the faster attacks gem.
5800 DPS without it.

1.33 base AS with Ground Slam btw.

Personally i could manage without the FA gem,aprox 6000 of pure damage is more than enough to deal with any enemy.

I think we'll just have to agree on this part.

Infact I just did a little re-skill and gave up 200 DPS to gain another 450 HP.

Just like the discussion on IAS, in the end it's all about trade offs.
