Before And After Skin Transfers (Main Character)

My main character. His name is « The_Fading_Lantern ».

Must say some of these characters are very nicely done, as they have a sense of style and a theme to them...

...but most are horrible.

Please people, less is more in this case. Making your character a christmas tree with all the colours of the rainbow and a maximum amount of effects stacked ontop of eachother just looks ridicilous, cheesy and lame.

Think of a theme and combine effects that fit well, like the fire themed characters, the completely gold plated Scion, and the vaurious shady leather armor+hood types seen in this thread.

I couldn't agree more. People slap on all kinds of item effects and try to look awesome. Matter of a fact is, just as you said it, they look like a christmas tree and the majority of the people just cringe at the sight of it.

Nothing fancy really: Majestic plate, wolf pelt, deerstalkers, conjurers gloves and daresso's courage.

Started a similar thread today but was informed of this one. I'll post here, then.





Further Plans:

• Get Arctic Weapon Effect when it goes on sale.
• Possibly get Aurumvorax skin for my rapier.
• Possibly get Discipline Force Field Effect when it goes on sale. This would require a new character though (the pictured char is an Ele ST shadow).
• Possibly get Stormcloud Arctic Armor Effect when it goes on sale. This would also require a new character.

Other than that, this character is complete. Went for a blue/white icy sort of theme. It started out with the Zodiac and the Ice Crown, which I thought went well together. Then was the silken hood, which was less "in the way" of the spikes of the zodiac/ice crown. Then I realized Aegis would look perfect with this character. Somewhere around there I decided on arctic footprints/weapon, then finally I found Sundance. Personally I think it looks awesome.
