Dear GGG, torrent the patch or new full installer.
If GGG could seed the torrent we would have exponential download speed through torrent rather than simply crushing its server.

They said they aren't able to torrent it themselves, but are ok with others torrenting it as long as it's the game file and not the .exe.

No full installer, only this absolutely worthless streaming installer which for some reason makes my entire computer freeze up to the point I have to actually hard power off my computer. This is the only program I've ever used that screws things up this badly... After four tries, I'm done. The thing is like almost 4 gb, what kind of a game designer in their right mind would not have a full installer for something this size? There are tons of game file hosting services which are completely free, so really... No excuse works here... I tried to give this game a try, but until there is a full installer I'm done with this thing screwing my computer up.

" And maybe you should not be an idiot that jumps to completely wrong conclusions. I hardly think that my computer is the problem considering this is the first and only program I have ever run into that does this. Skyrim on max details? No problem for this computer. Path of Exile launcher? Computer freezes during the download process. Don't know why. Considering the sheer amount of people that have been posting other problems with this game, that must be a lot of people that have computers that don't work properly. I am going to try installing this thing one more time, and setting the process priority of the launcher to low, and see if that helps alleviate the issue. But if not, then I'm just going to have to wait till they release an actual full installer, because their streaming installer is clearly borked, and I am not the only one with this issue either. I have issues with the installer that I can't troubleshoot, and none of the help provided in support in the past has been a solution. My only solution to download the patches is to go to my brother's house and redownload the entire game every time a patch is released. I could technically do that here but he has much faster internet, and downloads the full game in 20 minutes.
I can't even update the game with my content.ggpk at my brother's house. Even after running pack check. I've never in my nearly 20 years of using the internet ever seen a download ever "backtrack" except for on this poe installer. For example, it could be at 250mbs, come back a minute later and its at 236 mbs? Really? It keeps doing this till it times out and gives me an endless loop, and frequently doesn't even save the data downloaded and apply that to the total. For example, 700 mb patch, I download 500, the installer times out I run it again, and its still 700mb left to download. Endless loop and no solution whatsoever. I've had my ISP test my line multiple times, and ran speed tests, and there is nothing wrong with my internet. Last edited by MrSmiley21#1051 on Sep 25, 2013, 4:27:55 PM

I'm not sure why they couldn't torrent the updates. The great thing about torrents is they will never give you a timeout error that requires you manually restart the client to initiate the download again. A lot of the problems people are having with the installer would be completely eliminated if torrents were used.
