Tried this. Worked fine, for a very short period of time, and then dropped down to 3 kb/s and stayed there. Was going to take 1 week to finish. Am currently trying the other download (from edit2) but am not holding out any hope.

Same. After cancelling the torrent file, I restarted PoE and the 8.56 mb patch is now downloading, at ridiculously slow speeds. I'm hoping like crazy that I won't have to restart the entire download process, or I'll be unhappy. I was at 50% after 10 hours. Am prob going to try the mediafire files.

Looks like we're doing that..

I got the 8.56, once that was done (20 mins), it's endlessly looping on the 8.19mb file..

Just got done d/l the torrent in edit 3 and followed the instructions to copy file and rename old file and then paste in the torrent file. When launch the game it takes off downloading the remainder of the client that I was downloading before I stopped it when the torrent finished, Showing 8.19 megs. Based on what the instructions said I thought it would launch normally since the new file was in the folder. Is there something else needed to do or am I just stuck waiting for it to finish whatever it is downloading?

Very frustrating after waiting all this time since patch release.

Edit: OK, after it finished the 8.19 mb the game loaded up correctly so evidently something was missing in the torrent that needed added in.

Had the same problem. Try close the launcher, deactivate your firewall and re-launch the PoE launcher... Should work. gl ;)

Just for your information.

I have a 2Mbit line and have about 7 hours on download needed.

In the patch notes state that the content.ggpk should be smaller.
My grew by 200 MB to 6.8 GB!

Someone still the problem?
