If u are in North America, use a free vpn. GGG im sure u have your reasons for slowing us down but as you can see, you can't.

I've been downloading this patch sense the sever first when down. I made it to 37% and it zeroed the Dl so I had to restart around 8:46p CST. Its been around 5 hours and I'm now at around 1.41%. It only took me 14 minutes to DL the game. I get that there was a flood of people trying to DL, but its now running on 12:31a CST. My DL speed is around 43m upload is 7m I'm only getting around 47k to 0k. I love the game thus far but if this is going to be the norm the love will fall quit a lot. Growing pains are a B&^%$ but this is far from you're first update.

I want to express my disappointment with the extreme slow down of the U.S. servers. That was ridiculous. I went over to a E.U. server and downloaded in 10 minutes what took me 6 hours on U.S. server!

ok seriously i been downloading since patch went live.. STILL downloading only at 52%......And i know its not the size of the damn patch. I can dl stuff twice this size in 45m to 1 hour. This damn thing has been updating for several hours. What is the deal with your server. And dont give me that "we got alot of ppl downloading it"

This is one of the first times i have to say i am dissappointed in your choice. You should have had a mirror site for manual download as well as your auto updater. With multiple mirrors. For something this huge. IF your servers couldnt handle the strain effectively.

I am disappointed in you guys for this one. Great patch. Poor judgement in timing and placement.

btw -- after the patch, the size of the .ggpk file was still huge: 6.783 gig !! however -- after "defragging" the .ggpk file using the tool described in this thread:

it's reduced down to 3.961 gig! i haven't seen the .ggpk file that small since about the day OB started!

I'm in the US and at over 80%. I even waited after the servers went down to start patching and this was already a long thread. I'm tapping out around 300K area so it isn't like I got blazing fast download speed. If you are going slower, it is on your end.

Its not on my end. I assure you. I can download anything else at the same time and move 3x faster. The client keeps bouncing between 2kb to like 100kb, stays around 10-20kb

33% downloaded in 6 hours. 12 more hours and I'll be finished. For a normal speed comparison, all things going well, it only takes around 2 hours for me to download the whole of GW2, around 16 gb. Man, I'm glad I've got others things to do, in the meantime.
