I think it is why the allocating space takes forever as well. It has to check every file before starting to download to see which files need updating instead of just a version check. I'm in the same case. Between 0 and 100kb/s. Average 50kb/s, slower and slower. 20kb now. It will take me one day. I'll probably cut before. Time to sleep here. Waste of bandwith. I would have wished there was a torrent of the patch. It's the cheapest way to deploy large amount of data. edit: someone has opened the valve (!) i'm close to 2MB/s . yoohooo!
