0.9.12 Information and Incomplete Patch Notes (Updated)

People like Hilbert are the reason the devs don't normally release patch notes early.

They hop on the forums and use their mystical psychic powers to foresee the future and give useless feedback on a patch they haven't even played yet.

Chris asked for you guys to please wait until you actually play the patch before giving your feedback on it, but some people lack willpower and always think they know better than the developers. It's sad but true.

I know one gaming company that get this a lot in every patch note. It is obvious who I am talking about. ;)
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

In most mmo betas i experienced so far devs had very little ragard to what testers were telling them, but in poe GGG has been doing good job fixing issues pointed out by players.

Even if balance is bad after this patch im sure they are going to fix it, and there is no reason for such a fuss around it, especially not before even testing that stuff.
I have runes, potions and total disregard of public safety.

And as a blocker they are currently too good when coupled with a totem. No bosses knows how to handle them. Being able to summon only two at a time will help but I am not sure how much until I try it. As I said earlier, I fear it will be enough to put Faster Casting to that Totem+skeleton combo to get the same result as now.

Then a fix would be not to make it work with Totem or limit it for Totemuse only (like 1 skeleton each totemcast)and it wouldn't affect anybody using it without Totem.
Or simply create something like 1,5 INT needed if you link it with support.
Decrease the INT nodes.
Then STR/Dex builds don't rely on it.


Now Totemuse is the only way to prevent a manaoverkill on non manabuilds or better use another Skeletongem instead of the spectre gem so you can also summon skels where you want them to spawn.

Of couse it will affect other classes using Totem but it will affect summoners the most.

I bet you are one of those maradeurs using Skeletons with Totems as additional block and never played a pure summoner.

Also you should remember that coding takes a lot of work and devs don't have the time to test every possible build. That's why they got alpha/beta testers.

But I doubt the alpha Testers see all issues or don't mention some like the 5 att/sec bow being the best elemental Bow, making elemental Bow builds extremly powerful.

I would just like to point out Arcen Games as a company with an incredible patch process.

Patches come every few days, every change in a patch is documented before applied, the community gets to vote on nerfs/buffs and everyone ends up happy.

I have no idea, why gaming companies do not use their forum communities as a source of ideas/feedback for the patching process. Its the main reason why I still actively play all of their games and I know if another such developer arrives, I will support their games as well.
This is just a beta I still have high hopes that summoners will be played as they used to be in 0.9.11 (with a HP/Damage boost on low levels) and other str/dex classes not being able to abuse skeletons as their personal blockers.


Why not take the most powerful builds as standard other builds have to reach and once that's done boost the difficulty?

No, because I don't get too attached to my characters and builds when the game is still in beta and everything is subject to change. You could learn a lot from me.

You claimed earlier in this thread that you "didn't see any problem with the AI" of minions. Everyone who has ever used minions, including the developers themselves, could tell the AI needed serious improvements.

If you were so oblivious that you didn't see any problem with the AI, I wouldn't trust you to notice any other legitimate problems either, even if you were an alpha tester.

I stand by my statement: Wait until you actually play the patch before giving your feedback on it.
