it's not that pay to win, but it sorta is

things you can buy with money:
-any and all champions which are very expensive and takes thousands of games to get all of them with just IP
-experience boosts to level faster
-IP boosts to get runes faster (which are stat bonuses and nearly mandatory) and champions

Don't play LoL. It's like D3. Shallow and unfulfilling.

Play DotA2 at least.

If you enjoy PoE you'd like DoTA more. Just like in PoE DoTA is all about playing against the game, in PoE you play against lag and desynce, in DoTA you play against attack animations. League on the other hand you spend your time playing against opponents.

LoL is not pay to win and has the biggest professional scene out of any game right now, including SC2. League of Legends is the biggest game in the world, Korea has a TV station dedicated to it. This guy doesn't even play MOBAs, he's just a hipster pretending to be cool. Try LoL it's fun.

LoL is definitely somewhat pay-to-win. You can spend a ton of time playing the game to get enough points to get runes which give you clear advantages stat-wise or you can just spend some cash for the same thing. It's pretty much the equivalent of if PoE had an item in the microtransaction shop that grants you 100,000 experience when used or something.

Also PoE and LoL are completely different genres and not comparable and I think LoL is pretty fun but I also feel like there's probably better options out there if you want to play for sport rather than fun, due to LoL's P2W and balance issues.

MOBAs IMO are not fun and have a lot less strategy than people seem to think. It invariably comes down to who is willing to not actually play the longest, because 99% whoever makes the first move loses so you're just sitting there waiting for someone else to do something.

What at stupid post. You probably haven't even played lol or dota because this sitting waiting for someone else to do something almost never happens.
And why would a lack of strategy make it a bad game? You can hardly have less strategy than in an arpg, does that make poe a bad game?

And lol > dota. If you have insomnia problems (20 minutes of only last hitting each game is so much fun!!).
